The conservation and enhancement of the beauty and character of Mendip and the surrounding area with particular regard to landscape, wildlife habitat, archaeological, historical and natural features.

The Foundation's activities focus on the restoration, preservation and development of the Butrint National Park, including the archaeological site of Butrint in Albania.

Use of Crookham Village Hall to provide social events for the inhabitants of Crookham and surrounding areas. These include village evenings, evening meals, coffee mornings and lunches, and use of the Hall as a venue for society meetings, including an Art Club, Book Club, Gardeners' Club, Knit & Natter, and local history and archaeology (TillVAS). The hall is available for private hire.

The Pilton Barn is open to all every day of the year. There are generally specialist Open Days when the specialist restorers or the local archaeologists are available for guided tours.In addition there are a number of local community events through out the Year held in the Pilton Barn or its precincts

An interest in all Industrial Archaeology sites in Hampshire, research and recording, lectures to members and occasional visits.

The Trust is active on the Southern Branch of the River Wey (and tributaries) in Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex, from its source to its confluence with the Northern Wey at Tilford.It carries out conservation work, education and interpretation, covering the ecology, archaeology and history, landscape and the quality of the river itself.

To further the education of the public in the archaeology, history and architecture of Chester, Cheshire and North Wales and to promote and foster public knowledge, understanding and appreciation of archaeology generally.

A broad range of projects are supported including student sponsorship and prizes, grants for educational and community resources and heritage conservation including industrial archaeology. The support of animal charities is also a feature of our work.

It aims to promote interest in archaeology, both in the local area and further a field, through a programme of lectures, excursions, publications and fieldwork.

The Society aims to promote the study of churches and other places of worship, along with their associated monuments and landscapes, and publicises the results of the latest research and discoveries in its journal and newsletter. The society also holds an annual conference.
