Amenity society carrying out environmental work and encouraging the study of history, landscape and culture in the vicinity of Halesowen Abbey. Much work involves the enjoyment of the area by use of public rights of way system. The Trust helps others is understanding and appreciating the local environment and provides advice to local authorities and others.

Receives and distributes donations and grants towards the cost of research and publication on local history.

The Charity is very small and can only support selected worthy causes targeted and holding prior approval by the Trustees in the areas of medical research, health and well-being, education, historical buildings and to animal, wildlife and environmental concerns and those who find themselves in particular hardship. The Trust regrets it cannot make other arbitrary donations however deserving.

Educational talks, demonstrating the large collection of mechanical music items ie music boxes, polyphons, street pianos, fair organs & the wurlitzer theatre organ - to name a few, to educate all ages of the general public. preservation and restoration of mechanical music instruments. Organiser of events to show case the history and culture that has mostly been forgotten.

Advancement of Christian religion by showing the Anglo-Saxon-Celtic peoples descend from the Biblical Tribes of Israel who face a particular duty to proclaim to all nations God's clear Scriptural teaching on how humans should conduct their lives. We declare this in the UK & abroad by a regular magazine, booklets, recordings & public lectures as well as historical/prophetical research work.

Run the Old bell Museum in Montgomery. Hold quarterly talks/lectures on topics relating to the historical and current environment of the town and area. Take an active concern about the architectural heritage of the town.

The Friends of Berwick and District Museum and Archives support, and promote use by the public of Berwick Art Gallery and Museum and Berwick Record Office. This is achieved through several means. Local history and the work of the Record Office and Museum is promoted via a website and annual lectures; volunteers contribute to projects, help at events, and raise funds to support our aims.

Provision of the hall to local groups and individuals. Users include the local history society, welfare and fitness groups and local families for birthday and anniversary parties.

The Trust owns and manages the island of Steep Holm in the Bristol Channel as a living memorial to pioneer environmentalist Kenneth Allsop. Visitors are welcome on scheduled day trips, whether tourists, or specialists in ecology and/or history. Research is encouraged and published. The 1867 Victorian Barracks houses the island Visitor Centre. Donations and subscriptions help with expenses.

The Sorby Natural History Society is the Natural History society for the Sheffield City region, providing education, research and publications, including biological and geological recording of wildlife, habitats, rocks and landscapes. Operates mostly in Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and the Peak District.

Local Civic Society to maintain and enhance Windsor and Eton's historical unique environment

The role of the Bournemouth Leukaemia Fund is to support local research into the cause, diagnosis, natural history and treatment of patients with chronic lymphoproliferative disorders, especially chronic lymphocytic leukaemia. This is achieved by funding salaries, reagent costs and attendance at meetings to present research data.

Use of Crookham Village Hall to provide social events for the inhabitants of Crookham and surrounding areas. These include village evenings, evening meals, coffee mornings and lunches, and use of the Hall as a venue for society meetings, including an Art Club, Book Club, Gardeners' Club, Knit & Natter, and local history and archaeology (TillVAS). The hall is available for private hire.

Undertake, present and publish research into the local history of the Hexham area of Northumberland

The advancement of education of the public with regard to the historic diocese and county of Worcester, and in particular to publish and disseminate original material relating thereto. Activities include the publishing and distribution of historic texts, lectures, book launchs and the maintenance of a web site.

RAISING FUNDS TO REPAIR AND MAINTAIN THE CHAPEL OF ST MARY THE VIRGIN, WAKEFIELD BRIDGE.MAKING THE CHAPEL AND ITS HISTORY BETTER KNOWN BY PROVIDING OPEN DAYS, VISITS BY GROUPS BY APPOINTMENT, OR TALKS

Hold public meetings and guided walks of town. Put on regular displays of artefacts and other items of interest concerning Newport Pagnell.

The Sea Cadets aims to provide young people aged 10- 18 with an environment in which they can choose what they learn from a wide range of stimulating subjects and have fun while doing so.The Cadets learn about life skills and general knowledge that will help them progress in other areas including the history and the traditions of the Sea Cadets and the Royal Navy

The committee organises lectures on the history of England and Japan, paintings and music of both countries, talks on current affairs, outings to visit historical buildings and churches. The Association keeps close touch with other women's associations. It is the trustees policy not to respond to unsolicited requests from individuals for assistance and only to make donations to registered charitie

Monitor local building developments/planning apps, run a heritage centre which is actively collecting pictures/items of local history relevance. Run a website and Facebook page, walks, talks and publish researched projects.
