Research and publish local history of Poole and surrounding areas

To provide a Museum of local history for Lutterworth and the surrounding villages,open for public access. We also give talks and put on displays at other venues including schools.

To provide accommodation for the purpose of education,training and social activities for people of all ages and backgrounds and facilities as a general meeting hall for all village activities.The main activities being - Gardening Association, Social Clubs, Village History Association, private parties and general meeting hall for Whilton residents and their visitors

Fosters and promotes the study and publication of local history in Oxfordshire. Publishes a regular news bulletin and an occasional journal and organises two study days a year. Acts as an umbrella organisation for parish and other local history groups. Makes occasional small grants to individuals and organisations to facilitate the study of Oxfordshire local history.

To promote, for the benefit and education of the public, the study of genealogy, family history and local history, with particular reference to the County of Powys; and to promote the preservation, security and accessability of library and archival materials.

The Society was founded to encourage the knowledge and study of history within Battle and the surrounding area. This is achieved through a programme of illustrated lectures by specialists in their subjects and the publication of books and journals that are relevant to the local history of Battle.

Founded in 1973, The Deepings 1090 Round Table meets fortnightly and is currently 14 members strong. Throughout our 35 year history, we have raised significant sums for charity with over -ú100,000 being raised in the last 10 years alone. The Deepings 1090 Round Table is affiliated to the Round Table for Britain and Ireland

To advance the knowledge of local history of the Borough of Cricklade, Wiltshire, including the Parishes of Latton, Down Ampney, Marston Meysey, Kempsford, Ashton Keynes, Castle Eaton and The Leigh.

To promote the work of West Sussex Record Office and help buy documents for it. To encourage research into the local history of West Sussex and original documents. To hold meeting for the membership per year, including the AGM. To publish four Newsletter and a Journal annually.

Support the Museum of the Staffordshire Yeomanry in the High House, Stafford so that it may be a tribute to the men of Staffordshire who served in the war and an interesting social history for today's public. The Charity relies on donations and gifts to meet its objectives

Conduct talks and visits about local history and assist in research into the history of Bishop's Stortford

About 40 Interest groups (eg Art, Bridge, French, German, History etc...) which usually meet once or twice monthly. Also a general monthly branch meeting, with visiting speakers etc.

The objects of the society shall be the promotion of interest in all aspects of archaeology, history and related subjects, and research into the archaeological and historical heritage of Maidenhead and the surrounding area.

To advance the education of the public in the study of family and population history principally within the County of Hertfordshire

To promote high standards of planning and architecture in the Civic Parish of Hampton in Arden and its surroundings. To educate the public in the geography, history, natural history and architecture of the area. To secure the preservation, protection, development and improvement of features of historic or public interest in the area.

To encourage the understanding of the history and heritage of Uffington village and its' surroundings by collecting, recording and conserving material both from the past and the present day.

To promote local history education in Derbyshire and publish edited texts, monographs and pamphlets relating to the history of the county.

The Study of Historical Archery

The awarding of grants, for repair and renovation, to Christian churches of all denominations in Worcestershire and Dudley.The education of the public in the history and architecture of churches.

To promote the efficiency of the Royal Regiment of Artillery and in particular to maintain, uphold and promote the traditions of the Regiment and to perpetuate a permanent record of its deeds and the ordnance of all nations by preserving, exhibiting and displaying and making available for public inspection the Royal Artillery Historical Collection,any additions thereto and other similar objects.

The object of the charity is to promote the study of local history in Warwickshire. It does this by lectures and by publications. The Society meets approximately ten times yearly to hear speakers, and to visit sites of historical interest, It publishes Warwickshire History and a bulletin, both distributed free to members twice a year.

Support to British Orthodox parishes and local clergy; support to other Orthodox communities in the UK & overseas; counselling and pastoral care to individuals; provision of information through publications and websites; education and study of the history, doctrines and worship of Oriental Orthodox Christianity.
