The Charities objects are to advance the education of the public including advancing its knowledge of the origins,growth and development of the Labour and Trades Union movements and promoting an understanding of the contribution made by the Manchester Mechanics Insitute to the education of young people in the application of science to mechanical and manufacturing.

For the benefit of the public, to apply the capital and income of the charity to educate the public at large concerning the history of Towcester and surrounding area by the provision of a local museum and Heritage centre.

To work to secure the protection of monuments, structures or other features of architectural, historical or archaeological interest in the area. The propogation of the Christian Gospel in the Protestant/Bible-believing tradition of 18th century Wesleyan Methodism. The church's work focuses on the salvation of sinners and the nurturing of believers. It operates primarily in neighbourhood of Penn, Bucks, including the nearby town of High Wycombe, but also engages in regular open air preaching in Slough, Uxbridge and central London.

Llanfair Caereinion Public Hall & Institute is a community resource for the whole town and surrounding villages. Activities inc. library, polling booth (elections), WI, Merched y Wawr, Celf Able arts group, Homely Club, indoor bowls, Young Farmers, dance, drama, recording studio, local history group, concerts, Llanfair carnival, Christmas lights, wedding receptions, funeral teas, parties, etc.

Acting in support of Osborne House and English Heritage in the promotion, preservation and use of Osborne (its Grade 1 Listed House and Grade 2 Listed Park and Gardens); and encouraging the education of, and enjoyment by the public concerning Osborne, its heritage, history, buildings, contents, gardens and grounds.

Our main goals at LEAP are:To educate the public, the media and policy makers to the failure of current drug policy by presenting a true picture of the history, causes and effects of drug abuse and the crimes related to drug prohibition.

We work to enhance the visitor and education offers to include activities in both the Victorian and Tudor sections, including public open days twice a month plus seasonal family/community events. School/groups visits by arrangement. Monthly Afternoon Teas from April to August. History talks about the Hall for other organisations as requested. General cleaning/maintenance of the Hall and grounds.

The Hall has been used as a meeting place for many residents sharing a common interest with other sections of the community.Our main users are:- a thriving nursery school, local history group, women's institute, men's society, amateur dramatics society, Plaxtol parish council, church youth group and a toddlers group.

Mission Statement : The Burford Tolsey Museum & Archive exists to serve the interest of the people of Burford and the general public in the in the cultural heritage of the Town and neighbourhood, by preserving and exhibiting collections that aim to convey its unique and remarkable history.

Lectures are held on historical subjects. Coach tours are organised to places of historical interest. Publications on the history of Chingford are issued. Representations are made to local authorities on historic buildings and conservation areas.
