The main object of the Society is to preserve and enhance the character of the parish of Chedworth, and to improve its appearance and amenities. Preservation of a redundant pumping station situated between Mablethorpe and Louth in the East Lindsey District Council area. The building (built about 1850) and the 1936 Petter diesel engine complete with the pumping equipment has been restored and is working on the open days which are about five during the summer months.There is also an exhibition of items connected with land drainage on show

Supporting Preservation and Conservation of Buildings of Historic Interest in Yorkshire

The charity was set up in the 16th century to help the poor. It is now inactive and so all monetary dues to it are paid over to the Betenson Trust which is another charity whose purpose is the upkeep of local almshouses.

To co-operate with the Parochial Church Council of Holy Trinity Church Much Wenlock in the preservation , repair, maintenance, restoration, improvement and ornamentation of the fabric and interior of HT Church. To promote public interest in this Church, its history and its work and to seek to bind together, sustain and develop a network of people who love, appreciate and support HT Church.

Renovation, preservation and restoration of the monument and lettering thereon erected in the Parish Church of Holy Rood, Buckland Newton to the memory of Fitz Foy. The residue of the income may be applied for the relief of poor persons resident in the area of the Ancient Parish of Buckland Newton either in gifts in kind or grants of money.
