The Ipswich Transport Museum exists to preserve the transport and engineering history of the Ipswich area. It does this through the operation of a Museum in Cobham Road Ipswich, through its website and the organisation of external events such as exhibitions, rallies, lectues and public acces to its archives.

Chorlton Good Neighbours recruits local volunteers to help support older people in Chorlton , Chorlton Park and Whalley Range. Services include transport , visiting and 1-1 support, small DIY and other practical jobs. The group also runs weekly exercise sessions for over 65's, coffee mornings, singing, history, drama , Art ,positive living and gardening groups as well as regular day trips/parties.

The Society publishes the journal "Architectural History", funds PhD students, makes research and publication grants, and arranges symposia, an Architectural History Workshop for graduate students, and study visits to places of architectural interest (including an annual residential field conference).

We arrange monthly lectures between September and April, with walks and field trips in the summer months. Members receive an annual journal and regular newsletters.

BENEVOLENCETo provide financial assistance for veterans of the three Services who served in Normandy, France during WW2 and their dependants who are in need.EDUCATIONTo increase the knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the general public concerning those events leading up to and beyond the Normandy Campaign and their historical significance.

The object of the Trust is to advance the education of the public in maritime and coastal archaeology, history, geology and environment by the provision of a museum or museums as is considered necessary.

Loan of theological books of reformed , puritan and calvinistic content with associated history,geography and other sciences. Facilities for research relating to the books held and research into family history.Small sale of surplus books donated to the Library.

Playgroup funded by Early Years Grant, fee paying parents and FundraisingFunds raised are for new equipment, summer trip, christmas presents, repairs and maintenance etc.
