The principal activities of the charity are to educate and encourage the public in all aspects of the Arts Sciences Crafts and History with particular reference to the County of Cornwall.

ESTEEM is a charity which offers young adults aged 14-26 opportunities to develop confidence, build life-skills and improve well-being. ESTEEM has recently incorporated to become a registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation. Please refer to ESTEEM's former Registered Charity Number 1058540 for our charitable history, 1995-2020 where we operated our services as an unincorporated organisation.

The running of a museum relating to the town of Wells and the Mendip Hills

The charity provides and operates a visual and performing arts venue that is affordable and accessible for all. It provides a vibrant and engaging museum and Treasury display of silver together with inspirational education and arts experiences and access to SCC Local Records digitally. Several thousand photographs of local historical interest are available for public viewing.

We provide support and accommodation for people affected by Domestic Abuse. We offer temporary accommodation in a safe and supportive refuge where women and their children can recover from the traumatic effects of Domestic Abuse and make informed choices. We also offer a range of community services, courses and counselling to support women to rebuild their lives after abuse.

Our purpose is to create a better world - one classroom at a time. We believe in the power and potential of educators to inspire and transform the lives of young people by unlocking new levels of understanding, awareness and community mindedness so they are equipped to create a better future for everyone. Avoncroft is a museum of historic buildings rescued from imminent destruction and carefully rebuilt on an open-air site near Bromsgrove in the north of Worcestershire. Our principal aim isTo inspire enthusiasm for and understanding of the history of building as illustrated at Avoncroft, and the relationship of people with the buildings they constructed and in which they lived and worked.
