Housing Charities

SWALLOW provides supported housing, outreach in the community, education, independent living skills training, information, supported employment and work skills experience and social and fitness activiites for people with learning disabilities. We are a user led organisation, responding to the needs and wishes of our members.

The charity continues to take in animals whose owners can no longer look after them. These animals, where possible, are found homes and those with behaviour problems or needing medical care are given sanctuary for the rest of their lives if needed. Two veterinary clinics in fixed premises, and one in a mobile surgery, are being run to enable those people on low income to have their pets treated.

The provision of Sheltered Housing and Registered Residential Care for the elderly

The operation of a Sanctuary for unwanted and stray animals of all kinds to be received at all times, to find good permanant homes for such animals, or if unsuccessful, to keep them in the Sanctuary for the rest of their lives so long as is practicable to do so.

Almshouses for the elderly

The provision of a specialist service for individuals with the diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome and their families/carers. Our main aim is to provide a secure and caring environment that enables people to achieve their fullest potential, taking into account the individuals intellectual, physical, emotional and social ability. Independence, training and integration into the community are a priority.

Health & Social Care Support for adults with Learning Disabilities & Autism. Housing provision including support. Community Health & Social Care Support.

Providing accommodation and support to single, homeless, men and women in Cambridge.

The principal activity of the charity is that of a religious community, the Community of the Resurrection whose members follow a daily routine of prayer and worship. The Community additionally undertakes various charitable works at home and abroad including pastoral, evangelisitic, literary, educational and other charitable works for the advancement of religion.

St. Paul's Hostel provides a 24-hour direct access hostel for homeless aged 16 or over in the City of Worcester. The charity provides support to clients across the county with a wide range of issues which caused their homelessness and provide the support and care necessary to enable our clients to assume the level of independence for which they are capable of taking responsibility.

Threshold Housing Link is a resettlement and supported accommodation charity providing emergency and long term supported accommodation and auxiliary services for single homeless people

Almshouse provision and grant making

Tynedale Hospice at Home provides community based hospice care. Care and support is also extended to the patient's families.We cover the Tynedale, Scots Gap and Ponteland area.Services include nursing, practical and emotional support and are free of charge.

Supporting the spreading of the Gospel at home and abroad, the life and witness of the United Reformed Church, the interests of the Church as a whole and the wellbeing of the society in which the Church is placed, in particular in the NW of England. Custodian Trustee for all properties owned by the Local Churches within the North Western Synod of the URC and properties owned by the Synod.

To give assistance to elderly poor people through the provision of sheltered almshouse accommodation, the upkeep of almshouse properties and estate, and the provision of social activities and other communal facilities and services for the benefit of the almshouse community.
