The Redbourn Charities offers accommodation in almshouses, and maintains these and the grounds. It manages its investments in order to achieve this main activity, but also uses the money for charitable purposes for the benefit of poor persons resident in the (ancient) Parish of Redbourn, and gives an annual donation to Redbourn Care Group and the remainder for certain other prescribed purposes.

To prevent and relieve hardship and distress amongst persons who are (or who have been) homeless; living in adverse housing conditions; unemployed; and/or experiencing social exclusion and to provide to such persons support appropriate to their needs.

Providing support to people of all ages, with a learning disability, promoting facilities for education and housing, and improving their conditions of life. The Society has provided accommodation for thirty residents with various degrees of learning disability.

Mayday Trust provides The PTS Response, person-led, transitional and strengths-based coaching. Returning control to people to shape their own futures. We developed strengths-based, person-led coaching to people experiencing tough times like homelessness or leaving care. We use the learning and values of this approach to help organisations and local area implement practical strengths-based working

Early help-long term support for blind and partially sighted community of Herefordshire that can help the public living with sight loss.We offer a home visiting service where a volunteer offers simple practical help to a visually impaired person.A hospital information service at Hereford Eye Unit (County Hospital)Rehab and Mobility Service contract with Herefordshire Council.

Regular workshops for the youth company, supporting their learning in preparation for performance and participation in the local music festival. Meeting twice each week to rehearse and instruct members in readiness for planned performances. Attending local institutions - church, convalescent homes, hospices - to provide entertainment for residents/members and to promote the profile of WMCS.

PROVISION OF ALMSHOUSE ACCOMMODATION FOR 16 NEEDY PERSONS OVER 50 YEARS OF AGE.

We exist to support the work of The Connection at St Martin-in-the-Fields, to raise funds for that charity and to increase awareness among the public of homelessness.

PROVISION OF AN ADVICE SERVICE ON HOUSING ISSUES INCLUDING MATTERS OF HOUSING LAW

We welcome applications from small and local (as opposed to regional or national) registered charitable organisations, or local branches of organisations, working in the fields of-Social welfare, all age groups-Housing and homelessness-Community and environmental development -Opportunities for young people-Promotion of improved quality of life-Personal or community empowerment

Preservation and restoration of the historic Dunkirk veteran paddle steamer 'Medway Queen'. The hull was rebuilt with help from the Heritage Lottery Fund and the vessel returned 'home' in December 2013 to begin the next phase of restoration. The workshop and visitor centre are at Gillingham, Kent. Most expenditure appears as an investment in the value of 'heritage asset under construction'.

The purpose of the Fairfield Trust is to provide quality rented accommodation for missionaries, clergy and other Christian workers; their spouses, widows or widowers who, following careers serving humanity, either in the UK or abroad have been unable to provide for a home of their own.

Immigration and asylum laws advice, women victims of domestic violence support and advocacy, support to children affected by domestic violence, benefit advice and advocacy, tackling homelessness, asylum seeker and refugee support, health and wellbeing advice, disseminate information to the Chinese community, campaign for policies change, cultural exchange and raising cultural awareness.

Unwanted animals are brought to the sanctuary where they are looked after until a new, caring home has been found for them.For those animals who cannot be rehomed, Wanderers Haven is their permanent residence. These animals can be sponsored, the money goes towards their ongoing care.Animals are taken in for caring while their owners are unable to care for them for a certain period of time.

West Ham Non-Ecclesiastical Charity is a registered provider of social housing providing accommodation for the elderly living or working in Newham. The Charity owns Harris Cottages comprising of 18 one-bed self contained units.
