Housing Charities

To promote and advance the education of the public in commercial and financial subjects with particular regard to money management, housing, home ownership and building society and related matters by providing facilities for such education, providing information and advice on such matters, conducting research and publishing the useful results of each research.

We support and campaign for people who are homeless, or rootless and particularly those for whom no other provision exists.

PROVIDING SUPPORTED SHELTERED HOUSING FOR INDEPENDENT ELDERLY PEOPLE.

To provide accommodation for persons in need, who are resident in the Parishes of Shaftesbury, Cann, Motcombe, Stour Provost, Margaret Marsh, Fontmell Magna, Compton Abbas and Donhead St. Mary.

The charity is restricted to housing persons in need over 60 years of age who are regarded as poor and deserving persons of the middle class as defined in the will of Mrs Grundy establishing the Almshouses.

The charity founded in 1978 to care for retired racing Greyhounds and supervise their placement into happy permanent retirement pet homes. The charity supports a dedicated rehoming kennels to care for Greyhounds awaiting rehoming.

Lighthouse International Ministries (LIM) is a network of churches and individuals throughout Great Britain and Ireland that supports people and projects in Romania, India and Africa i.e. children's homes, youth camps, leprosy missions. LIM's heart is to strengthen, equip and facilitate indigenous people who have good ideas but have very limited resources.

Provides accommodation for 17 elderly residents plus one room available for respite care

Provision of residential care services, Supported Living services, Day Care and Theraputic services and housing and Support to adults with a Learning Disability. SHELTERED HOUSING

The object of the charity is to provide almshouses for poor men, not less than sixty years of age and of good character who are resident in the County of Northamptonshire and preferably in the Urban district of Rothwell, at the time of appointment. A total of ten almshouses are available to meet this object.

To foster in the congregation concern for witness and service to the community evangelism at home and abroad, Christian education, Ecumenical action, local inter-church relations and the wider responsibilities of the whole church.

To advance the education of students attending colleges or courses in London for the purpose of receiving instruction in music, particularly those attending the Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Trinity Laban by making grants or otherwise to needy or deserving students to assist them with the cost of accommodation.

Provision of financial and other help to those in need in the parish of Whittlesford, nr Cambridge. The Charity owns 14 residential units which are let to people with a strong connection with the Village, who must show that they need housing.

Use of the property at 7 Brownswood Road, N4 2HP to provide accommodation for post-graduate full-time overseas students.A Day Nursery for children under fives, opens Monday to Friday, 8.20am to 6 pm.A Saturday Supplementary School for pupils between the ages of six and eleven. Tuition in Maths, English, Spanish and French is provided.Facilities are provided for a Domino Club for elderly men.

To provide accomodation to men and women who are in need of assistance and who have resided or been employed in the Parish of Easthampstead or the new Parish of Bracknell for period of not less than fifteen years.

Provision of homes for old persons of small means who have need of such facilities by reason of age or infirmity

To serve residents and organisations of the City of Lichfield in a charitable capacity provision of Alms houses and help with the poor and needy.

The charity provides secure accommodation for elderly ladies in the Plymouth and East Cornwall area.

CIRDIC runs two day Centres. One caters for the spritual emotional and practical needs of adults who are homeless or in poor accommodation by providing food, clothing and warmth as well as medical and practical advice and art therapy. The second Centre caters for women with special physical and emotional needs by providing warmth, food, companionship and advice.

To provide almshouse accomodation, in the form of 25 one bedroomed flats across 2 sites in Scarborough, to persons of limited means. Principally retired seafarers and their dependents.

To provide grants towards board and accommodation costs for men and women professionally engaged in literature, music or the fine arts, where those in need would be able to work or rest in peaceful surroundings for short periods.
