Housing Charities

The charity maintains and run the properties known as Mrs Marshall's Memorial Cottages and the Browne Memorial Almshouses. The homes are used for persons who through misfortune have become reduced from better circumstances, and are resident in the area and are not less than 60 years of age.The charity employs two wardens who oversee the residents. The charity also employs a gardener.

We provide youth workers to meet young people on the streets with the aim of engaging with them and introducing them to diverse worthwhile activities. We provide advocacy advice and support in terms of sexual health, well-being, drug and alcohol misuse and parenting. We facilitate activities promoting healthier lifestyle and physical wellbeing.

Operating throughout the Choppington Parish, the Welfare provides sporting, social and community facilities. With three pitches and a multi user games area, the Welfare acts as a sporting hub for the wider community and provides expert coaching for cricket, football & bowls.Open on a daily basis and run entirely by volunteers we provide a home for many local voluntary organisations and clubs.

The objective of the Bishop Seth Ward Almshouse Trust is to help house underprivileged mature adults in Buntingford, Hertfordshire. The Trust raises funds through the letting of endowment and investment properties to support the running and maintenance of the Almshouses.

fINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO CHARITABLE ORGANISATIONS FOR THE TREATRMENT OR CARE OF SICK OR DISABLED PERSONS

The provision of good quality accommodation at an affordable price to those in financial need, aged over 50, who have a connection with the City of Wakefield. The Homes comprise 31 dwellings, 17 at Horne Street, 4 at Holmfield Avenue and - following the merger with Dr Crowther's Almshouses - 6 at Westfield Road and 4 at George Street, Wakefield.

Almshouses and poor relief

The 24 two bedroom single storey terraced homes, were fully occupied at the end of the year.The homes all meet the Government "Decent Homes Standard", and an asset management strategy is in place to maintain the homes to the highest standards.A waiting list is maintained and over 100 applicants are on the list.

Provides accommodation/housing for independent elderly/older people in need and living within 15 miles of Portsmouth Guildhall, for a minimum of 5 years.

The criteria required to obtain residency (as laid down by the Trust) is as follows:-The homes are for the use of needy persons of good character who are members of the Church of England and who have resided in Kempston for not less than 15 years, or if born there, for 10 years.

Relieving and assisting children and young persons resident in East and West Sussex who are in need of care and attention by reason of being deprived of a normal home life, with a preference for girls

WE PROVIDE HOUSING ACCOMODATION AND OTHER ASSISTANCE WHERE NEEDED FOR THOSE IN NEED IN THE AREA OF ST. ALBANS, HERTFORDSHIRE.

Provision of housing namely 'Westfield Village' for the benefit of disabled and necessitious ex-service/serving members of the armed forces and dependants.To relieve persons in conditions of need and hardship where relief cannot be provided by public funds within a reasonable time. To aid and support any charitable associations or institution connected with these purposes to the same aim.

Providing Christian homes for people in need or those through social disadvantage have become homeless. Victory Outreach runs supported housing which includes a holistic approach to rehabilitation , health and well-being .

We have 10 properties that are rented to the elderly widowed in need of accomodation that are currently living in the Ancient Parish of Enfield.

Provision of 16 almshouses providing villagers with affordable accommodation enabling them to stay in Hallaton when the high cost of housing in the village may otherwise prevent them from being able to do so.Providing recreational facilities and grants on approved application for inhabitants of Hallaton & surrounding neighbourhood for education or need.

WE WORKED WITH FAMILIES AND CHILDREN AROUND LEYTONSTONE ASHVILLE ROAD AREA IN SHARING THE GOSPEL AND PUTTING ON DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES ON SATURDAYS AND DURING THE HOLIDAYS FOR THE CHILDREN THE CHURCH ALSO PROVIDE HOT MEALS FOR HOMELESS PEOPLE IN FOREST ROAD WALTHAM FOREST 1ST FRIDAY OF THE MONTH

Housing elderly/deserving people

Relief of poverty. Provision of Almshouses.

The trustees fulfil the charity's objectives by processing applications only from accredited social work agencies supporting clients in need, hardship and distress in three categories: those who are in danger of losing their homes or essential services; those caring for children in impoverished circumstances; those who have faced some personal setback and are being encouraged to start again.

Provision of accessible, reasonably-priced accommodation (formerly referred to as 'Almshouses') for older people in Bishop's Stortford. The Charity does not provide 'care', and Residents either live independently or make their own arangements with family or Social Services if support is needed.

The Society responds to the needs of visually impaired people in the Harrogate district by providing among other things:- a centre for social activities, handicraft training, educational classes,home visiting,information about hospital eye clinics, a telephone befriending service, counselling, display of aids for the blind and outings.

The purpose of the Goodly Dale Cottage Homes is "to provide accomodation for poor persons of good character each of whom shall not be less than 60 years of age (or 50 if disabled), and shall have been born or lived for 10 of the last 30 years in Windermere and Ambleside Urban Districts, Undermillbeck, Troutbeck and Applethwaite.
