The Peter Birtwistle Trust provides supported housing to older people in Colne, Lancashire. The charity is a member of the Almshouse Association and a Registered Provider of Social Housing. Applicants for accommodation must be over 60 years of age and have either been born in Colne or lived in the town for a minimum of 10 years during their lifetime.

Charity raises funds to pay for animals in their care until new homes can be found for them. All cats ,dogs and rabbits are neutered either prior to them being adopted or as soon as possible afterwards. All cats, dogs and rabbits are micro-chipped as well. We have our own cattery and we have many fosterers to care for young kittens in their own homes until they are old enough to be adopted.

Activities provided for service users in recovery from drug and alcohol misuse or mental health issues include A Drop in Centre, A Listening Service, an Outreach Service, a Night Service, Supported Housing, Training and Education and various activities including Arts and Crafts, Singing, Smart Recovery, Tai Chi, Serenity, Family and Friends Support, Gardening, Creative Writing, Freedom Programme.

St Michael's exists to rebuild a gospel-centred community for the heart of Fulwell, Teddington and beyond. Activities include Sunday services, groups for children and young people, and midweek groups meeting in the homes of members of the congregation.

Emmaus is a secular charity providing a home, work & training for homeless or socially excluded people through social enterprise businesses trading in donated furniture & household goods. Residents may remain with Emmaus for as long as they need and are then helped to find jobs & housing. EHR can accommodate 23 residents and employs a small staff team to support residents & manage the business.

Dartmouth United Charities provides almshouse accommodation to poor persons of good character, who have lived in Dartmouth for two years before their appointment, or in exceptional circumstances, live outside the area but are otherwise qualified.It also makes grants to individuals and to organisations supporting Dartmouth residents who are in need, hardship or distress.

Food For All distributes around 6,000 free, nutritionally balanced meals to the homeless and disadvantaged on a daily basis. FFA targets the homeless, single parents, the elderly, the unemployed, people suffering from mental and physical disabilities and the marginalised. FFA is based on the philosophy of community self-help.

Day Centre for people who are Homeless in the London Borough of Barnet and surrounding area.Tenancy Support Service

A social action centre supporting vulnerable people in crisis. The centre provides day care services for the homeless and people in emergency accommodation including a food bank, clothing/bedding/kitchen appliances, a shower, washing machine and dryer, community cafe, TV lounge and garden.

The Charity's objectives and activities are the advancement of the Christian faith and education, including the relief of persons experiencing poverty, homelessness, physical and mental disability, and in furtherance of such objectives the provision of accommodation and support for such persons.

Construction of modular homes for ex homeless, mainly by use of labour from ex offenders, ex-homeless, special educational needs, social and emotional, mental health and other people from disadvantaged backgrounds, to include training in construction skills, with the objective of assisting them to find future employment.

The principal activity is the management of the Almshouses, of Rye Hill and Benwell. The number of flats for occupation by Brethren are 19 at Rye Hill and 41 at Thomas Horsley House.
