Housing Charities

The BHSA raises funds by organising fairs, parent quiz nights, cake sales, a children's disco and other events. The BHSA then spends the funds raised on activities which enhance the education of the children at Belmont Primary School.The BHSA also administers a Voluntary Contributions Fund to provide additional funding to non-core activities at the school.

The Samuel Franklin Fund (Elsworth) benefits the residents of the parish of Elsworth who are in need through financial hardship, illness, disability or infirmity. It can also assist those preparing for, or entering any trade, occupation or profession. Grants can be made to individuals or to societies/organisations/institutions that assist those in need.

Own and manage 6 almshouse cottages in Pearson Road, Sonning, and associated land.

To benefit the inhabitants of the Ancient Parish of Holme Cultram as the Trustees think fit. The organisations vary but include, village halls, churches, schools and Residential Care Homes.

A) To advance the education of young members of the public in agriculture, home crafts, country life and related subjects. and B) In the interest of social welfare to provide and promote the provision of facilities for recreation and leisure.

The Charity provides housing for poor people of good character who have resided in Old Leake for at least 5 years.

THE PROVISION OF 7 COTTAGES WHICH ARE ALMSHOUSES FOR AGED POOR PERSONS INHABITING AYLESBY AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD THEREOF

Care for Guildford is a "good neighbour" scheme offering practical help to anyone in need living in the old borough of Guildford through volunteers who provide transport, shopping and odd jobs in the home.

The objects of the Friends is the provision of, or assistance in the provision of, facilities for recreation or other leisure-time occupation in order to improve in particular the conditions of life for the Residents of the Shannon Court Home and or relief of poverty and sickness among the elderly.

THE CHARITY OPERATES SIX ALMSHOUSES IN THE VILLAGE OF STOKE ROCHFORD.

Provision of housing for older people

Management and maintenance of a large house converted into five self-contained flats used as Almshouses plus another self-contained flat.

To apply such of the income as the Trustees determine for the benefit of The Retreat, York, (a non-profit making Registered Nursing Home) to make grants to meetings of the Religious Society of Friends and to enable travelling in the Ministry.

Provision of housing for the elderly

Administration of the almshouses in the village of Kingswear, Devon established by Sarah Roope in 1841.

Letting, upkeep and general maintenance of 7 Almshouses for elderly, poor or needy residents of Northwold.

Housing elderly single women

To cater for the social welfare of the elderly residents at Hamilton Court sheltered housing unit in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex.

The charity exists to provide housing in eight pre-existing bungalows. The objects are to maintain these properties for current and for future residential use.

The Trust provides 8 terraced Cottage Homes set in 1.2 acres of private grounds, available to people over 60 years of age who have lived in the borough of Darwen for at least the last five years preceding application, who can demonstrate a 'housing need' either for financial reasons, or for 'quality of life' which is not being addressed elsewhere. These homes are for Independent Living only.

A confidential voluntary service offering extra care to sufferers of life limiting illness and support to their carers.

The object of the charity is to relieve the needs of disabled persons and their families by providing practical help, holidays and a home base.
