Shine delivers a range of community services to bring renewal to one of the UK's most deprived neighbourhoods. This includes job-club and digital inclusion, credit union and social supermarkets, financial budgeting, a children's clothes bank, parenting support, exercise classes, gardening, care for the homeless, refugee support, counselling, arts projects and community events.

Tuppenny Barn creates learning experiences for all ages and to promote the benefits of growing, cooking & eating healthy food to children and adults. From hosting school trips & after-school clubs, to workshops and holiday activities, we teach children where food comes from, the benefits of eating healthily food and give them the skills to grow their own. We run a horticulture therapy project.

The Therapy Garden works to have a positive and significant impact on the lives of people facing challenges in life. Whether by helping to equip young people who have additional learning needs for a future in the workplace or reducing the isolation of a stroke survivor. The original aim was for garden owners in the county to display and compete with each others gardens and plants. Since then its activities have diversified to include a programme of free lectures, the publication of a journal and arranging a wide range of garden visits, outings, walks and talks and other activities and there is a grant programme for horticultural students.

Our activities include: - Broadstairs Town Shed - the opportunity for older people to take part in wood working sessions and offers a space for skills to be shared and learnt. To promote an interest in all aspects of alpine plants, their cultivation in rock gardens and plant conservation in natural habitats. We are a membership organisation, publish a quarterly Journal for members, operate a seed exchange, make awards available for horticultural study, operate botanical tours for members to see plants in their natural habitats and publish alpine plant information.

The charity was formed to continue the activities of Dawlish & East Teignbridge Volunteer Bureau (Charity no. 1051265) in the Teignbridge area. It runs a Volunteer Centre, a sitting service, a nail trimming service, a home help service. It also offers a range of free community support services such as befriending, gardening, & enabling, and help identifying and accessing welfare benefits.

To develop the capacity and skills of the members of the socially and economically disadvantaged community of Westwood and Ravensthorpe in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet their needs and to participate more fully in society.
