We are a small community centre based in the heart of Catford. The Institution was established for the cultivation of knowledge in medicine, surgery and the collateral branches of science, together with the maintenance of a library.The Institution was established as an association in 1770 and incorporated under a Royal Charter dated 23 June 1964.The principle activities are the library, lectures and meetings for members and conference activity.

Roots4life is a community action project set up to tackle childhood obesity. To achieve this we intend to teach cooking skills, horticulture and the importance of nutrition. We also include exercise and mindfulness to support mental well being. It is hoped to include families, schools and community groups.

Staging of annual agricultural show

YPTC continues to act as a assessment centre for NPTC. We provide a wide range of landbased assessments both economically and efficiently. We deliver approximately 3000 test per annum.
