Leisure Charities

The hall has accommodated a number of organisations on a regular basis (eg. pre-school, judo, WI, Tremletts Social Club) and others on a weekly, monthly or irregular basis. All groups benefit from the use of the hall for leisure and educational purposes. The hall has been maintained to a high standard with further work envisaged in the future. TRANSPORT FOR ELDERLY OR DISABLED TO MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS, SHOPPING ETC. SHOPPING AND PRESCRIPTION COLLECTION ON BEHALF OF CLIENTS. SOCIAL VISITING OF THE HOUSEBOUND. REFERRAL TO OTHER AGENCIES, OCCASIONAL SOCIAL EVENTS. ASSISTANCE WITH GARDENING. TELEPHONE BEFRIENDING.

Management of the village hall to provide recreational, educational, training and sporting facilities for the benefit of the local and surrounding communities and user groups.

General scouting activieties for boys and girls this includes:Camping, community work, general life skills

The Village Hall is used for parties, meetings, quizzes, theatre productions (pantomimes etc), plus childrens toddler groups, sports such as badminton, volleyball & yoga, also as polling station etc. Meetings include parish council, WI, gardeners clubs etc.

For the purposes of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of the villages of Cannock Wood and Gentleshaw in the county of Stafford without distinction of political religious or other opinions including the use for meetings, lectures, classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants

SCOUT GROUP ACTIVITIES INCLUDE CAMPING, HIKING, CLIMBING AND GAMES

Community Centre for hire to local clubs and organisations to use for recreation and a meeting venue. Used by all ages in the community. A playgroup is in the hall every morning A Youth Group use the hall every Monday eveningAn Over 55's Group use the hall every Wednesday afternoon.Three to four events held throughout the year for the Community and to raise funds for Building Repairs

Sporting activities - badge work - community work for beaver scouts - cub scouts - scouts - explorer scouts camping, as per Scout Association rules.

THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR LEISURE TIME AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES WITH THE OBJECT OF PROVIDING EDUCATION TO OLDER PEOPLE NO LONGER IN FULL TIME GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT IN WAVENEY DISTRICT AND ITS SURROUNDING LOCALITY. ALSO TO IMPROVE THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THESE PEOPLE.

The Verona Association provides facilities for elderly members of the community to participate in physical and mental recreation activities including dance, singing, snooker, bowling and a friendship club. These activities take place in the association's own premises.

The Hall's varied facilities are well used by the local community. Activities include a successful over 60s luncheon club, yoga and keep fit classes, U3A groups, wood turners group, pantomime, badminton and, Old Cornwall Society. The National Blood Transfusion Service and Cornwall Council use the Hall. Private functions are welcomed.

Sea Scouting activities to boys and girls between 6 - 18 years of age. Activities include sailing, canoeing, camping, hiking and other Scouting activities.The Group is RN recognised which allows members to visit and sleep aboard RN ships, when available. We provide training in a range of water based activities that gain members RYA certificates, and British Canoe Association certificates.

The purpose of Scouting is to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social & spiritual potential. This is achieved through a programme of activities including creative arts, outdoor exploration, community, physical activities and international awareness often leading to badges & awards. These activities can take many forms indoors & outdoors.

Provision of village hall for parish events, meetings, social activities together with recreation ground for sporting activities. The geographical area covered is the parish of Tidenham although the use of the facilities is open to all for booking events.

THE OBJECT OF THE CHARITY IS THE PROVISION OF AN INSTITUTE, SPORTS AND RECREATION GROUND FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS ( AND IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, SUCH OF THE SAID INHABITANTS AS ARE MEMBERS OF THE MINING COMMUNITY ) OF THE AREA OF BENEFIT WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING CONDITIONS OF THE LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS.

Activities connected with the use of the Epworth Memorial Field

LSSA ORGANISE THE VARIOUS SCHOOLS SPORTING ASSOCIATIONS IN LEEDS SO THAT THEY PROVIDE ALL SPORTING ACTIVITIES THROUGHOUT LEEDS AT SCHOOL AND REPRESENTATIVE LEVEL. WE ALSO HAVE TO MANAGE THE SPORTING FACILITIES OWNED BY THE ASSOCIATION.

The advancement of education of young people by helping them to develop their mental, spirital and physical capacities through leisure time activities.

A RURAL YOUTH ORGANISATION, WITH MEMBERS AGED 10 to 28 YEARS OF AGE, THAT MEET ONCE A WEEK IN THE WHITTINGTON & OSWESTRY AREA. WE TAKE PART IN ACTIVITIES AND COMPETITIONS SUCH AS: NETBALL, DRAMA, FOOTBALL, QUIZ TEAMS, STOCK JUDGING AND OTHER SIMILAR EVENTS.OUR OBJECTIVES ARE FUN. LEARNING AND ACHIEVEMENT.

The provision of leisure/educational activities and a non-alcoholic bar for young people in the Bridgnorth area under the supervision of qualified youth workers.The Bridge operates in the centre of Bridgnorth from its own premises which are open on Tuesday and Friday evenings throughout the year.
