Leisure Charities

To provide and operate a Community Centre for the area of benefit set by the Borough of Poole Local Authority. To provide support for the local area in Leisure and Education. To use and Maintain a Community Centre operated under Licence from Poole Borough Council.

For the purposes of a Village Hall for the use of the inhabitants of the parish of Geddington and its immediate vicinity without distinction of political, religious or other opinion including use for meetings, lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation with the objects of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

Provision & maintenance of the local village hall providing facilities for various activities including Monday Club for the elderly, sports activities for adults and children, social evenings etc.

To Collect AMC Contributions for repairs & gardening for 4 Alms Bungalows

The Charity manages the Community Centre on behalf of its member organizations such as the Bridge Club, the Self Help group, the St John ambulance etc., leasing it from the Sefton leisure department and managing the programme of activities.

Hosting regular classes and club meetings. Used for meetings of community organisations.Venue for entertainment and educational events.

The Association provides recreational facilities for the local community

To provide facilities and a playing field in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants of Linton, Castle Gresley and other surrounding villages in South Derbyshire.

To supply leisure activities and social support within our area of benefit. We provide a Community space for low cost hire, host free Community events and entertainment in a semi rural area. Our aim is to reduce social isolation for all age groups, ensure the maintenance of a Community hub and to act as a link between other statutory organisations, our members and the wider Community.

Support and promote community activities for all age groups, especially sporting activities in the Community Centre

Youth organisation for 10-18 year olds as fully enrolled uniformed cadets. They are instilled into the nautical traditions - boatwork, sailing, canoeing, sea going experience under sail and power, seamanship, maritime skills (drill and piping), radio communications, electrics, mechanics, cook stewards, band music. Provision of recreational and community facilities - including tennis courts, football pitches, bowling green , multi use games area, playground, car parking, pavilion with changing facilities, toilets and meeting room and other open spaces.

Chepstow Community Centre (MK) is a facility for the local community, enabling education and care of pre-school children, a meeting place for local older people, a building holding regular groups including - arts, crafts, physical education (dance, yoga), and a hall that can be booked for parties and family events

WE ARE A COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION RUNNING A COMMUNITY CENTRE PROVIDING FACILITIES AND ACTIVITIES FOR THE WHOLE COMMUNITY, MANY AT LOW OR SUBSIDISED RATES. WE CATER FOR MANY OLDER PEOPLES GROUPS AND CURRENTLY RUN 2 TODDLER GROUPS, 2 CARPET BOWLS GROUPS, LINE DANCING, SEQUENCE DANCING, BEGINNERS ART CLASS, Under 15s Art Club, Zumba, KARATE, WOMENS FITNESS LEAGUE, Pilates, TAI CHI & Book Happy

Village Hall for community use by local residents and businesses, i.e. health and fitness classes, martial arts training, local events, children's parties, musical evenings, Women's Institute, meetings for clubs, etc. Also used by council for polling centre.

The Selmes Trust's expenditure is used to manage the Trust's land and riverbank in an environmentally sensitive manner, generating income for the benefit of the fabric of St Peter's Church, Newenden, and allowing certain parts of the land to be used as open space for the benefit of the inhabitants of the parish of Newenden for certain sporting and leisure activities.

The main purpose of our executive committee's work is to maintain funds to provide an HQ for scouting activities which benefit young people from age 6 to 25. Scouting activities offer young people opportunities for education, training sports & recreation. We also provide equipment to enhance these skills. Our HQ is situated in Rothwell & is also used by many other local groups.

The WI exists to educate and inform our members with a variety of subjects and through a variety of media.We have speakers regularly, participate in and organise craft and exercise classes and arrange outings.

Supply, maintain and improve the facilities at Briston Pavilion and The Recreation Ground, Briston, Norfolk.
