Leisure Charities

The Furzedown Project is an activities day centre for older people living in South West London. The Project is a community of warm, friendly over sixties who want to meet new people, keep active and learn new skills. We offer a range of activities including art classes, Asian Friendship Group, bingo, computer support, Keep Fit, singing,, summer outings, a drop-in facility and much more.

To promote, advance and improve for the benefit of the public agriculture, horticulture and rural crafts and skills by the demonstration and showing of livestock machinery, crafts, products, methods and processes connected with agriculture and agricultural education by the holding of an annual Show - known as the Ryedale Show.

The charity offers a community centre for the Great Lever residents. The centre is open for 5 times daily prayer, offers evening and weekend classes for children to interact and gain new skills and free courses to adults in the local community.The centre is also working projects for the youth by creating a football team and days out for teenagers so that they stay out of trouble.

The Artillery Centre Other Funds fund is made up of little Royal Artillery sports accounts and branch funds used for functions and presentations. There are more than 40 small funds for which we provide a banking service, they bring in cash, cheques or BACS payments into our Central bank and we make payments for them by cash, cheque or BACS and they provide receipts and or admin instructions.

The objects of the Association are to promote the benefits of being inhabitants of the City of Peterborough, with the object of improving conditions of life for the said inhabitants. By associating the local authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time.

Asian Elders' Resource Centre provide drop-in advice & information centre and a day care unit. The centre is for any older person who is 50+, frail or disabled. We also provide training courses, health & well being, social interaction, leisure activities and promote independance. Advice on pension, housing and welfare rights is also given.

ADVANCING THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE UNDER THE AGE OF 25 YEARS OLD BY DEVELOPING THEIR INDIVIDUAL CAPABILITIES AND UNDERSTANDING OF SUBJECTS OF EDUCATIONAL VALUE THROUGH ACCREDITED VOCATIONAL TRAINING, LIFE SKILLS, EDUCATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES.

St Michael's Youth Project exists to assist and educate young persons in the area of North Hull and Orchard Park through their leisure time activities so to develop their physical, mental and spiritual capacities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society and that their conditions of life may be improved.

The charity is established to promote the advancement of education, and in particular amongst the Jewish children under the age of eighteen in the United Kingdom so as to:Provide curricula and supplementary education programmes for young people; Provide vocational educational support to young people;Provide a range of recreational, social, sporting and artistic programmes for young people.

1) To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Patchway without discrimination by associating together the inhabitants and local organisations in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities for recreation and leisure-time with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.2) To maintain and manage a Community Centre in furtherance of these objects.

Provision and maintenance of Village Hall and Recreation Grounds for regular User Groups, village residents and others to enjoy.

THE OBJECT OF THE CHARITY IS TO SUPPORT ALL RANKS OF THE ARMY FOUNDATION COLLEGE IN UNIT COHESION, EXPEDITIONS, SPORT AND WELFARE WITH THE EMPHASIS PLACED ON JUNIOR NCO'S AND BELOW.

Advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare, for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for residents.Manage Knighton and District Community Centre and to maintain and manage the Centre in co-operation with any other person or body, in furtherance of these objects.

Pre-school learning through play, craft, creative play, imaginative, physical and social skills. outdoor activities and sensory play mostly in the baby room.

RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES,EDUCATION. ADVISE AND SUPPORT, RECREATIONAL SERVICES, HEALTH PROMOTION

THE FOUNDATION ASSISTS IN THE PROVISION OF HEALTHY ACTIVITIES FOCUSED AROUND PARTICIPATION IN SPORT AND NETBALL IN THE RHONDDA VALLEYS AND THE WIDER COMMUNITY OF RHONDDA CYNON TAF.SUPPORT FEMALE EQUALITY, OPPORTUNITIES AND SOCIAL INCLUSION WHILST BEING FULLY INCLUSIVE.PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE ACTIVITIES FOR THE CONSTITUENTS OF THE REGION.

Sports

To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Walsall Borough and the immediate neighbourhood of Darlaston, without distinction of sex or of political, religious or other opinions. Provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving conditions of life of the local people. Deliver various exercise classes for the community.

The principal activity is to promote and encourage ,horticulture, conservation and forestry for the public benefit and to improve and advance them in all branches and in all trades,crafts and professions with them in an exclusively charitable manner.Educational advancement in all the above by granting of bursaries.Promotion of the above to the public by holding of an annual show.

THE PROVISION OF COMMUNITY, SOCIAL AND SPORTING FACILITIES AND SERVICES FOR THE RESIDENTS OF GREGSON LANE, COUPE GREEN AND SURROUNDING AREAS.

We are the Cumbria branch of NPTC. National Proficiency Tests Committee. We undertake professional assessments leading to NPTC/City & Guilds qualifications in Agriculture, Horticulture & Plant Machinery Industries.

Hiring halls for various activities: children's nursery, dance groups, martial arts, yoga etc & weekend parties.

This charity runs a village hall and a number of its associated activities, as well as letting out its premises to other interest groups. It facilitates community participation by also running a village festival every other year, and has some sectional organisations, panto, choir, drama, short mat bowls, and a small musical production group, as well as computer classes and a community cinema.

Raising funds to advance the education of and provide leisure time activities for children living in greater Manchester and for the maintenance and upkeep of buildings used for these activities and for further future development.

Excel Women's Centre is a dedicated charity to improve Health & Wellness of Women and their families in Barking & Dagenham and surrounding boroughs by providing information, advice and guidance in areas of Welfare, Housing and Health, Skills and Training and employability, homework club, Sport activities and User led Community Wellness Cafe with leisure and social activities
