Leisure Charities

Risinghurst Community Association covers the areas of Risinghurst, parts of Quarry and Sandhills, to support community based activities and events.Our volunteers operate a community centre building, with a busy schedule of weekly activities, including many private hire dance and fitness groups, as well as community led groups for mothers and toddlers and senior citizens.

Involve and educate young men and women, in their leisure time, with interests and activities designed to develop their physical, mental and spiritual capacities by making grants and donations to suitable charities and other organisations. Income is derived from covenants, donations, grants and investments.

MANAGE AND MAINTAIN ROWSLEY VILLAGE HALL FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL LOCAL PEOPLE.THE AIM OF THE CHARITY IS TO PROVIDE LOCAL ACCESS TO EDUCATION AND RECREATION FACILITIES; AND TO PROVIDE COMMUNITY AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES FOR LOCAL PEOPLE, WITH THE AIM TO PROMOTE INDIVIDUAL WELL BEING AND AND A SENSE OF COMMUNITY BELONGING.

Village Hall & Playing Fields.The Hall is available for Parties, Training, Dancing, Garden Club, Pilates etcThe Sports Field is leased to Inter Plymouth for Football .

Provides facilities & human resources for young people aged 5-16 years in a rural area. Thus enabling them to socialise, interact and also partake in team recreational activities both in doors & outside.

Advancement of education in horticulture and to promote encourage and improve horticulture by the holding of horticultural shows competitions meetings lectures discussions demonstrations and running allotment gardens

The charity owns, maintains and runs the Haydon Bridge Community Centre. This includes organising the hire of the premises by community groups, educational and social organisations and for recreational activities.

Social Groups, Snooker Club, Table Tennis Drop-In, Yoga, Playgroup, Drama Group, Council Meetings, Gig Club, Keep Fit, Craft Groups, Art Groups, Workshops, Presentations, Committee Meetings, Weddings, Celebrations, Fundraisers, Environmental Awareness Events, Musical Evenings, Fetes, Farmers Market, NHS events.

Village hall a valid part of the community, used for various sports, keep fit, yoga, pilates. Local pre-school. Partys, weddings, karate, bridge club and regular meetings etc. we hold weekly coffee mornings with donation to named charities.

To promote the development of young people in achieving their physical, intellectual and social potential as individuals and as responsible citizens by the provision of education and leisure time activities using a nautical theme and in accordance with the principles, ethos and practices of the Marine Society & Sea Cadets (MSSC)

TO MAINTAIN AND RUN THE SIR JOHN HEREBERT MEMORIAL HALL FOR THE USE OF INHABITANTS OF LLANOVER AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD. THE HALL IS USED FOR RECREATION, SUCH AS MEETINGS, TEACHING CLASSES, ETC. THE OBJECT OF THE CHARITY IS ALSO TO IMPROVE CONDITIONS OF THE SAID INHABITANTS.

Various indoor and outdoor Scouting activities (outdoor examples - camping and walking) for young people aged 6 - 14. Plus facilities for older young people 14 - 25 to also enjoy Scouting.

The provision of grants or donations for individuals or such charitable associations, bodies and organisations for recreational purposes in the interest of social welfare and with the object of improving the condition of life of the inhabitants in the area of benefit

Preserving, extending & refurbishing a 3-bedroom Victorian house in its own large conservation grounds to use as a Community Centre for all ages. Meaningful activities & education for advancement of young people. Non-alcohol premises. Safe environment for women & children. Activities for the elderly, Ballet, Maths, English, Music & fun for mums & babies, Tai Chi, Yoga

To hold on trust the Village Hall for use by inhabitants of Ibsley & neighbourhood for meetings, lectures, classes & other forms of recreation & leisure time occupation to improve conditions of life for those inhabitants.
