Leisure Charities

Our charity is under the umbrella of the Scouting movement. Our activities are varied reaching out to young people from ages 6 upwards. Examples: camping hiking sports cooking etc.

The Westward Community Trustees manage the Westward Community Centre which provides facilities and encourages social, educational, leisure and sporting activities within the community

The provision of facilities for the use of local people. These include social events, meetings, children's play group, sports events such as short mat bowls

Entertainment, recreational and social events, and activities for all ages including the local primary school. General meetings in purpose built meeting room. Hire of annex for child care, but is available for use in the evenings and at weekends for the community.

Meeting venue for over 60's, sunshine club for blind, indoor bowls, karate, line dancing.

A social welfare club targeted at the village's senior citizens. Activities are aimed at maintaining a contact point for all, to provide entertainment and outings, with regular sessions of games and quizzes to stimulate mental agility.The club premises are also sometimes rented out to other charities to provide an income stream.

Community Hall for pre-school children, village meetings, theatre group, bridge club, keep fit, and other social activities

Dale Park Youth Organisation provides sports coaching and leisure activities to children and young people in the Winterton and district area.

TM exists (A) for the relief of people with a learning disability in particular by the provision of help and support for them and their families, dependants and carers, and (B) To provide or assist in the provision of facilities for the recreation or other leisure time occupation for people who have need thereof by reason of learning disability with the object of improving their conditionsof life

Providing entertainment within the garstang area for children

Donnington Hall is owned by the village of Dunton Green and is hired out to bona fide organisations which provide a variety of activities for the local community. Regular activities include badminton, drama academy, karate, pre-school, sequence dancing and table tennis. Subject to availability, terms and conditions, individuals can book the Hall on an ad hoc basis for private functions.

Provides teaching and training to Beavers; Cubs and Scouts in everyday skills; canoeing; camping; hikeing, and many other outdoor activities.

The provision of public open space for healthful recreation and a museum that will advance education through its day to day operation

Management of recreation facilities

Formed 1987, this is an umbrella organisation embracing other cultural & sporting organisations. It promotes a village Festival in May each year, raising awareness and finances and works closely with the Community Council in all matters including the administration of our local Community Hall, Neighbourhood Watch and Police PACT.

Childrens Playgroups, Bowls, Dancing,childrens dancing,

Badcock Recreation ground is used by the following teams - football (3), cricket, tennis courts, children's play area and general recreation.The hall is used for numerous activities organised in the village - clubs, concerts, dancing, private hire, theatre group etc.

A fine, restored village hall providing a focal point for the community, for education and recreational use primarily.

We provide one day a week where elderly people come and enjoy a day companionship and entertainment, We supply morning refreshments, lunch, games entertainment and occasional outings

Community centre for the use of people of the Parish of Shirland & Higham without distinction of political/religious/race/gender etc for recreation and leisure with the object of improving conditions and quality of life. Fund raising, hiring hall out (with a discount for Parishioners to make it affordable to everyone. ) Running groups for young and old and organizing social events.

Maintain and manage the Rachel Fowler Centre for the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation for the inhabitants of Melksham and neighbourhood.

The provision and maintenance of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of the parish of Somerford Keynes and the neighbourhood thereof, without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings, lectures and classes, and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
