Leisure Charities

Friday congregation & five times daily prayer services, daily after school Quranic classes for children, adult Quranic (Arabic) classes, chaplaincy services to hospitals & prisons, marriages and social welfare services to communities. We seek to advance education and relieve poverty and to provide facilities for social welfare including recreational activities for the betterment of our society.

Recreational and race rowing

Regular workshops for the youth company, supporting their learning in preparation for performance and participation in the local music festival. Meeting twice each week to rehearse and instruct members in readiness for planned performances. Attending local institutions - church, convalescent homes, hospices - to provide entertainment for residents/members and to promote the profile of WMCS.

A Charter Standard Community Development Club and Registered Charity, providing safe football in the Community.Wickford Town Football Club has been providing football in Wickford from 1969.

To secure the establishment of the Pump House Theatre as a community centre and to establish and maintain it as such to the inhabitants of Faringdon and the surrounding villages and to facilitate its use for meetings and classes and other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the quality of life of its residents.

For the benefit of the inhabitants of Perry Barr and the surrounding area the provision of facilities for recreation and community participation in healthy recreation by providing facilities and organising activities for sport. Help young people through recreation to develop skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as mature and responsible individuals.

Our education projects will engage children and young women in sports activities. Our charity will partner with specialist training providers to help young people manage a variety of challenges including unemployment, social stigma, lack of confidence and low self-esteem. Through rugby we teach young people multiple skills that increase their resilience, self-reliance, and confidence

Wreketon Nou Camp is a grassroots sports club offering the young people in the community an opportunity to engage in football and fitness in a safe and encouraging environment. The club is a FA charter Standard Community club inviting young people of all abilities to participate from the age of 4 to 18 with the strategic plan to open up our services to everyone in the community.

The advancement of health by the promotion, for the public benefit, of community participation in healthy recreation by providing facilities for the playing of rugby league and other sports capable of improving health ("facilities" in this clause means land, buildings, equipment and organising sporting activities);

We run a church for Christian worship,prayer, teaching and fellowship. We run and organise youth work providing recreational,sport, leisure and training activities for young people. In liaison with health, welfare, police. probation and other agencies we offer support and assistance to vulnerable individuals,to unemployed people seeking work and temporary housing for single homeless people.

Educational activities related to horticulture

The advancement of amateur sport, specifically watersports including; canoeing, skiffing, rowing and dragon boating. The charity has focused on making enhanced provision of facilities for children and young people and disadvantaged groups

Formby Community FC (FCFC) is a registered charity and a thriving grassroots football club with over 30 teams and more than 500 members. The club promotes and develops football opportunities for players of all ages and abilities. In addition to offering football for all, the club continues to play an active role in the wider community.

During the year the building was used by many of our members to facilitate birthday and funeral receptions, amongst others; and by various community groups to facilitate theatre practice, accounts training and Quadrille dancing; and variously for the social entertainment of our members, particularly our seniors. Cricket, dominoes and senior outings were also facilitated by the organisation.

The charity provides childcare, education and training for young children aged 4-16. It caters for disabled children. It helps to alleviate poverty in deprived areas in Southwark and Greater London in general. It provides activities such as homework support, cooking, drama, water games, arts and sports.

HSSÔÇÖs principal activity is that of a club that provides after school rowing and sculling activities for children in Oxfordshire and Thames Region Schools.

Educate the public on the mining heritage of Kent and in old and new forms of energy production. Establish and maintain a museum on the former colliery site at Betteshanger, Kent. Provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or leisure with the object of improving their conditions of life.

Enfield Rangers Youth Football Club operates youth football from the ages of 5 years up to 18 years of age.We provide training facilities for our volunteer managers and coaches and our players. We have a clubhouse with toilet facilities, changing rooms and refreshments.We are non profit limited company and raise our own funds through fundraising and membership fees and commercial hires.

Blackrod Sports and Community Centre CIO has a rolling Tenancy at Will and is due to sign a lease with Bolton Council as the owner to manage these indoor and outdoor facilities. Through community management, we aim to increase usage, to widen the activities/events at the Centre, to secure grant funding to develop these facilities, and to work towards achieving a long term, sustainable future.

The charity hires out its facilities for use by its members and those living in the local area. The institute building hosts such activities as line dancing and ballroom dancing as well as being available for private functions such as parties. The charity also has extensive sporting facilities and has teams which compete in various local leagues for football, cricket, tennis, pool, darts, snooker

The advancement of the education (including spiritual development) of children below compulsory school age and the provision of facilities for recreation in the interest of social welfare and to improve quality of life and to provide for all children without discrimination a safe and satisfying pre-school.

SLGSOBA (UK) supports the educational development of its alma mater, through scholarships, grants, sports for leisure time occupation, IT equipment to help in the development of the pupils knowledge of computer and internet. To create and deliver projects with strong enterprise nature for sustainability.

We provide support for elderly people. They receive 2 main meals each day, made by the housekeeper. They make their own breakfast. All residents are independent. They are taken on trips out, usually 3 times per year, and have armchair aerobics each Wednesday. They have the security & peace of mind provided by the Abbeyfield society & the company of other residents.
