Leisure, Social and community use within the area of benefit

Monies are raised for the Association through fund raising events, many of which were occasions when parents, pupils and staff could come together socially. For example a Summer Fayre, a Christmas Fayre, a firework display, a general knowledge quiz, a golf day, several second hand uniform sales, and cake and chocolate sales.

To advance the education of the pupils of The Manchester Grammar School by providing facilities for the academic, sporting, cultural, recreational and outdoor pursuit activities including improvements to the school environment, and to encourage friendly relationships between staff, parents, pupils and others associated with the school.

Providing meeting and leisure activities for people with Learning Disabilities

Recreation and other Leisure occupation, in particular, but not exclusively for, such inhabitants of the Beneficial area as are members of the Mining community

The charity supports employees, past employees, their dependants and families, of the former Rugby Cement who are in need and assists other charitable causes in communities close to the cement plants once run by the Company.

The charity provides a village hall for social, recreational and cultural use by the population of Brinkworth specifically, and those from a wider area generally.

To encourage the playing of all games within the scope of the club through the provision of practice and playing facilities, coaching and fixtures for all members

Maintenance & improvements to the sports & leisure activities for residents of Stewkley Village.

To provide funds to purchase items for the education and enjoyment of pupils of the school.Fundraising activities have included for example bake sales, discos, Christmas Fair, Spring Fair, clothes and foreign coin donations.Items funded within the school have included for example classroom equipment, visits to school to support curriculum and sporting equipment for school teams and sports.

We raise monies primarily from two annual events - a Donkey Derby & two-day Bootfair inaugust, and a sponsored dip in the sea on Boxing Day-at the latter participants are invited tonominate a charity-local or national-or a good cause to whom we then send 50% of whatthey raise in sponsorship. We aim to spend locally what we raise.

To provide recreational and social activies for the inhabitants of Halvergate and surrounding areas

Providing and operating a small traditional village hall for the benefit of local residents in Middleton and Aislaby villages.Current uses of the hall include classes for Art, Keep Fit, Sewing, Lace making.Other uses include WI and Churchmeetings, other Charity's training sessions,drama productions, exhibitions and musical evenings

Providing a venue for Christian and sporting activities mostly for young people

Hire of Village Hall for local activities, ie Community Coffee Shop, WI, local societies, Exercise Classes and parties. Maintaining building and grounds to required standards

The B.P.F.A. maintain and manage Swan Meadow playing field and the facilities thereon to provide sporting and recreational opportunities for the community.

The Charity was established to allow the people of Roffey, to use the institute. Users are Play Group,Brownies,Indoor Bowls,Badmington,Dance School,Judo and Sunday worship.

Mainly outdoor pursuits which include canoeing, sailing, camping & pioneering. We have our own headquarters so in bad weather we can carry on indoors when wet.

Recreational activities for young people including, sailing, canoeing, boatwork, camping, offshore sailing, camps and training courses.

THE BERNARD HALL MAINTAINS A VILLAGE HALL WHICH IS USED BY THE LOCAL COMMUNITY FOR A WIDE RANGE OF RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES

Committee fund-raising events and hire of hall to keep the village hall in good condition for the use of all the village communities such as school, luncheon and welcome clubs, youth club, cricket & football teams etc and hire of hall for the wider community

The promotion and advancement of the public in the cultivation, appreciation and study of the decorative and fine arts; the conservation and preservation of the artistic heritage of the United Kingdom; and the giving of aid to the conservation of our national artistic heritage.

TO PROMOTE ANY CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THIS COMMUNITY AS THE COMMITTEE SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE. IN PARTICULAR TO FURTHER THE ENVIRONMENT AND AMENITIES AND TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION AND OTHER LEISURE TIME FOR THE INHABITANTS IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE WITHIN THE MEANING OF THE RECREATIONAL CHARITIES ACT 1958

Providing facilities for local groups such as Short Mat Bowling, keep fit,yoga,Take Art and other functions.

We aim to provide the means for local people over 50 yrs. to pursue their interest in structured groups. We rent appropriate space, provide equipment, produce a time-table and recruit class leaders in return for an annual membership fee and class fee, classes include sports, languages, arts, handicrafts, and games. We hold monthly forums with a speaker, monthly luncheon club & walking group.
