The object of the charity shall be to provide or assist in the provision of facilities for the inhabitants of the parish of Milton Lilbourne for recreation or other leisure-time occupation in the interests of social welfare with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

Box Hill Village Hall shall be held upon trust for the purpose of use by the inhabitant of Box Hill for social and educational services without distinction of sex-political religious or other opinion-to hold meetings lectures and recreation.

Village Hall is managed by trustees to provide a venue for the physical & mental recreation, social, moral and intellectual development of the inhabitants of Down Hatherley and its immediate vicinity without distinctions of sex or of political or other opinions.

PROVIDES ENTERTAINMENT FOR THE ELDERLY AND LOCAL COMMUNITY I.E. BINGO, YOGA, KARATE, LINE DANCING, MOTHER AND TODDLERS, PRE-SCHOOL,CONCERTS, LUNCHES, WHIST DRIVE ONCE A MONTH, GET TOGETHERS AND TRIPS OUT.

'Scouting' - games, camping, cooking, canoeing & climbing.

Providing children and young adults with the opportunity to meet together weekly, to learn more about their community and the wider world. To help others with fund raising, as well as learning life skills and trying fun things like cooking and camping.

It is a village hall used by about twenty different organisations for social, educational and sporting activities for all ages.

The charitable purpose of the Unit is to promote the development of young people (aged 10 - 18) in achieving their physical, intellectual and social potential as individuals and as responsible citizens by the provision of education and leisure time activities using a nautical theme and in accordance with the principles, ethos and practices of the Marine Society & Sea Cadets (MSSC).

Provide Recreational Facilities in the Village of Dalston, Cumbria.

Our core training is based on seamanship and traditional maritime skills, but Cadets can also study mechanical and electrical engineering, communications, cookery, computers, band musician, Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, and a host of associated subjects to prepare them for adult life.

PARISH HALL AND RECREATION AREA

Walker Memorial Hall is a community centre providing space for cultural, social and sporting activities for the population of Aldbrough St. John and nearby settlements of Carlton and Stanwick.

Helping young people towards responsible adulthood, our headquarters in the centre of PZ & close to the harbour provide admin & training rooms, drill hall & messroom plus boatshed. Based on the customs of the Royal Navy, our cadets undertake various academic & practical courses including computers. The cadets also enjoy boating, camping, adventure & sporting outings plus inter unit competitions.

Hold a once-weekly club night from 3-30pm - 7-00pm Tuesdays, to provide a cooked meal on arrival, then social activities eg playing snooker, boccia, darts, table-tennis, plus other board games, television, painting/drawing, art activities.
