Leisure Charities

Christians in Entertainment exists primarily to serve all those in the entertainment profession through spiritual encouragement, pastoral care, networking and personal support.

The object of the Charity is the provision and maintenance of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of the Parish of Clanfield without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings, lectures and classes, and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

St Buryan Parish Playing Fields Association works with our community to provide leisure opportunities which contribute to the health and well-being of all, ensuring that our plans fully comply with governance documentation and reflect the needs of the whole community.

Village hall to provide amenity facilities for local area. Currently: physical and mental well-being including pilates and yoga, bridge club, archaeology group, village social events including quiz nights, summer barbecues and armistice day celebrations, private lettings for children's parties and wedding receptions for the adjoining St Peter's church.

V Hall is used for private functions and on a regular basis: Keep Fit: Zumba:Yoga: Bowls: WI Meetings.

To maintain the village playing field for it's use by the community

The Charity manages its its investment in order to provide an appropriate level of annual income. This, coupled with a share of the annual surplus from the Rowington Estate Charity is passed over to the Rowington Parochial Church Council.

Village Associations (Art & Craft Group, Choir, Heritage Group, Keep-fit, Repair Cafe, Short Mat Bowls, Sports), community and fund raising events, Talk Community Hub.

Provide facilities for various clubs, the majority of whose members are of pensionable age. These include Dance Exercise, Line Dancing, Tai Chi, Table Tennis, Indoor Bowls. Facilities available for non-members use.

Custodians of recreation ground and playing field held in trust for community of Llanfair Caereinion to enhance quality of life.

Provision of open space parkland for the General Public

Provide a residential resource, Boarshurst Centre, for groups wishing to partake in educational, recreational (outdoor pursuits) in the Saddleworth Area. The Centre is run through a sister charity Saddleworth Outdoor Pursuits Association (702185).Very occassionally, provide small educational grants

To support the game of cricket for all.To help provide expertise, guidance and financial assistance for young people to achieve their full potential in cricket.To promote community participation in healthy recreation through cricket related physical or recreational activity in particular for those with ill health, disability or financial difficulties.

The charity's purposes are to promote the benefit of inhabitants of Lands and Morley by providing the facilities for social welfare for recreation, leisure and education; to establish, maintain and manage a community centre for the purpose; and promote other charitable purposes as appropriate.

fund raising to keep the community hall running for local activities such as short mat bowls, badminton, table tennis, art class, hiring out for events such as the odd wedding, harvest suppers, garden club meeting, village history society west somerset wildlife trust

To provide support for adults and Young Leaders with their roles in the provision of Scouting activities within the Central Norfolk Scout District. To provide district wide activities for Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. Provision and upkeep of a District camping resource at Garveston

We fund raise to maintain our village hall for local organisations ie. W.I., art class, camera club, produce guild, keep fit classes etc and for local residents private functions ie. wedding receptions, birthday parties, funerals etc.

Scout group, operating meetings and activities for Beevers, Cubs and Scouts. We have weekly meetings trips and camping activities.

To promote the benefits to the inhabitants of the beneficial area without distinction of sex or political or religious or other opinions by associating local authorities voluntary organisations and the inhabitants of the area of benefit in a common effort to advance education and provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation

THE AIM OF THE SCOUT ASSOCIATION IS TO PROMOTE THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN ACHIEVING THEIR FULL PHYSICAL, INTELLECTUAL, SOCIAL AND SPIRTUAL POTENTIALS, AS INDIVIDUALS, AS RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS AND AS MEMBERS OF THEIR LOCAL NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITIES.EG. CUB AND SCOUT CAMPS. BEAVER SLEEPOVERS. VARIOUS CANAL TRIPS. DISTRICT CAMP.CLIMBING, CANOEING, AND MANY OTHER ACTIVITIES.

St Marks Village Hall provides a leisure recreational play area with a hall that is for hire by local clubs, organizations and the beneficiaries of Holbeach St Marks, The adjoining Parish and Hamlets.

Brass Band which offers concerts and entertainment. We also train band members to improve their musical abilities and also run a training band with the prime objective to give musical training to youngsters and adults at no cost to themselves.
