Leisure Charities

We are a meeting place for many local clubs and facilities such as Fitness classes,Martial arts classes,WI, Yoga, Art classes,RAOB lodge and Parish Council meetings. We also take bookings for birthday parties and other such private and community events.

The promotion of the preservation and protection of life and property in the air, in particular the safety of flying personnel and aircraft. The promotion of the research into and the study of the science of meteorology and its application to aviation by the awarding of prizes and awards to nominated personnel.

Raising funds for school facilities including outings and activities, music & sporting projects and equipment for children to use inside and outside.

Provision and maintenance of a small hall for community use

Money received from pupils for various educational trips.Books bought at cost price to assist pupils with their learning. Sports kit sold to pupils to raise money for the school. Non uniform days held and donations requested from parents to assist with the cost of buying each pupil a diary and various school activities.

Sports & open spaces.

The provision and maintenance of the parish hall for the use of the residents of Wyre Piddle and neighbourhood and in particular for use for meetings, lectures, classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation.

TO PROVIDE A MEETING PLACE FOR THE LOCAL VILLAGE ORGANISATIONS TO USE ON A REGULAR BASIS AND HIRE OF THE HALL TO MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC

Education/Training & Sport/Recreation for Children/Young People

Provides a village hall for the use of inhabitants of the Parish of Dilwyn without distinction of political, religious or other opinions including use for meetings, lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for said inhabitants.

A Rural Youth movement for young people aged 10-26 years. Members can gain confidence and train for skills in drama & entertainments, public speaking, all sports competitions, stockjudging, stock showing and dancing. Life skills are learnt from members running their own club.

Supports the education and training, sport and recreation of children

Provides buildings/facilities/open space for use of local village community along with organisation of village events (sports day, Christmas Party)

Arts and CultureSports and Recreation

The provision of recreational space for people including a childrens play area with play equipment,tennis courts,football pitch and seating for general use.

School Disco's, Cinema Evenings, Mother's Day & Fathers Day Gifts, School Talent Show. Christmas cards and mugs. Basketball Event.

General Health, Wellbeing and Fitness

TheAssociation provides facilities for the recreational, leisure and educational pursuits of the local community of all ages.

To provide or assist in the provision of facilities for the recration or other leisure time occupation for people who have need thereof by reason of a learning disability

General charitable purposes,Sport and recreation

Active Groups for:-Art Appreciation, Ballet, Craft, Discussion, Garden Visits, Geology, Golf,Live Arts,Knit & Natter, Local History, Music Appreciation, Novel Readers, Opera Forum, Playreaders, Poetry, Practical Art, Pub Lunches (Tues/Fri), Ramblers, Shakespeare, Singing, Skittles, Singles Sunday Lunch,, Sunday Lunches for Singles, Theatre Visits

Provides care and support to people who have suffered a stroke and who are at various stages of rehabilitation. Light meals are provided together with entertainment in the form of quizzes , bingo etc. Members are invited to participate in craft activities and every week exercises are provided by a professional to maintain or enhance mobility.Outings are arranged

The aim of the Charity is to raise funds to support rowing at Jesus College Oxford both with capital expenditure and training costs.

Current activities:The Slymbridge Village Hall provides:-The possibility for a large group of organisations to meet, e.g.: Horticultural Society,History Society,Dog Training, Parish Council, the Slimbridge variety Group, church meetings, Village Hall social group meetings-Horticultural shows-Variety performance evenings

The Trust will distribute grants 1 To advance education of all persons in the area of Rossett in the principles of abstinence from alcoholic drinks and drugs2 To relieve sickness of persons in the area who are in danger of dependency on alcoholic drink or drugs3 To provide or assist with provision of facilities for recreation in the area of benefit.
