RECREATION GROUND

We provide facilities and numerous activities as a whole for the use of our members and their families as well as the general public of our community.Provided are Football,Bowls,dancing & keep fit and the entertainment of our senior members we also encourage the use of our facilities for the younger musicians in the area.Fund raising for certain Charities ie Help The Hero,s

MAINTENANCE OF RECREATION GROUNDS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

The charity maintains and runs Westhall Village Hall including the Playing Field and Children's Play Area. We also get involved and organise community events which help maintain our community spirit.

Our hall is a converted school. It consists of hall, committee room, well equipped kitchen & toilets. It offers a focal point for the village to meet for social and fund raising events, such as Pilates, short mat bowls, Band practice, Messy Church children's activities and other events. Both residents and non residents can book the hall, For bookings up to 70 people. Hire rates very reasonable.

A Rural youth movement for members aged between 10 and 26 years. Members get the opportunity to take part in various competitions such as entertainments, drama & pantomime, sports, public speaking, debating, after dinner speaking, stock-judging where they gain confidence and new skills. Also they have opportunities to participate in further training & development to run their clubs.

The Bramwell Memorial Institute provides a facility for the village community to use for arts, sport, recreation or any other community activity that benefits the population of the parish and the surrounding area.

A rural youth movement, where members can gain confidence and recognised skills in public speaking, sports competitions, drama and entertainments, stockjudging, stockshowing/presentation, dancing, meetings and social events, fundraising. This is a member led organisation for those aged 10 - 26 years.

To provide meals and recreational activities for residents and former residents of Thurston, over the age of 55. The aim is to improve lifestyle of members who are restricted by health, age & poverty. Outings & events are also arranged.

TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR WOMEN.

THE CLUB PROVIDES FORTNIGHTLY LUNCHES FOR MEMBERS OVER A RADIUS OF 4 MILES AND ENTERTAINMENT IN THE AFTERNOON. TRANSPORT IS ALSO PROVIDED FOR DISABLED MEMBERS.

The Jubilee Field is used for sport and recreation by the inhabitants of Clavering and surrounding villages

A member led rural youth group which developes skills and education for any young people aged 10-26 years. Activities range from sports, public speaking, cattle showing and stock Judging, club fundraising events & social activities, dance & entertainment productions, drama and local community work.

Activities and events take place in a large woodland - wildlife observation,camping,bushcraft,exhibitions,concerts and christian seminars.

Scouting outdoor activities, camping, rock climbing, canoeing, sailing, hiking, fund raising, educating trips abroad.

Raising of funds from members and public. Principal fund raising activity is annual Golf Day.Funds raised are expended in support of charitable activities in the Portsmouth area and for overseas charities including hospitality for the elderly, support fo children's activities, medical charities etc.

Lamorna Village Hall is a granite built ex school house. It aims to serve the community by providing a central maintained venue for community activities. There is a wide range of events and activities including yoga, flower clubs, art exhibitions, plays, carol concerts and other events. The Hall is available for hire and is used widely for local family events.

Provide recreation facilities for the inhabitants of the parish of Shipdham.

Dances and social evenings, Information talks, Pilates, Private hire, Story tellers, Craft fairs and photography/art exhibitions

The provision and maintenance of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of Longtown, including use for meetings, lectures and classes, and for other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for this rural community.

This Charity provides funds for the maintenace of a Village Hall for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Parish. The Hall can be hired by any individual or organisation for a reasonable fee with booking priority given to residents of the parish. In addition to the money raised in this way, the Charity raises funds by providing entertainment and recreational and educational events.

Relief of Poverty by the improvement of methods and practice of horticulture of small holdings anywhere in the world where there is a need to maintain adequate production for those trying to live of the land

The Orchard Garden is held in trust for the purposes of a recreation ground for the use and benefit of the inhabitants of Collingham and Linton.
