The maintenance of the Heslington Sportsfield for the recreation of the inhabitants of Heslington.

TO PRMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF WOLLESCOTE AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD BY ASSOCIATING THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS AND INHABITANTS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS.

To provide or assist in the provision, in the interest of Social Welfare, of facilities for education, recreation or other leisure time occupation.

Management of village hall for recreational use for the people of Dunkeswell.

Provision of village hall for use by the public or groups for meetings, such as the Parish Council, sports activities, bridge club, village and private parties. Used by local borough council as a polling station.

From a Will made in 1901 to assist poor children and orphans from Mansfield and Chatteris. The CC approved changes in May 2009 for the aims to now read: "To assist children up to 18 years of age in need of support, in any activity of leisure or personal development deemed appropriate by the Trustees.....any such child will be provided with any necessary clothing, equipment or expenses"

Parents & friends enhancing & supporting school provision through fundraising events such as Advent Fair, Summer fete and back to school disco. In the last year the PTA has funded the purchase of new classroom resources, carried out work to maintain our swimming pool, new projectors and children's Christmas presents.

Organised football.

We manage the playing field and children's play area. We raise money and involve village residents in fund raising and social events. Local businesses support our work financially and we have an effective working relationship with them and our Parish Council. Castleton Primary School now use a dedicated woodland area for environmental studies. The field is open to the general public.

From HM Land Registry December 1980 section 2 "The Trust Property" shall be held upon trust for a recreation ground for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Parish of Essendon in the County of Hertfordshire in such manner as the committee of management from time to time shall think fit.

Supporting keeping the Village Hall open by way of special events on the playing fields, sporting events, use of the village hall by local church, fundraising events, lettings for activities, parties etc.

We aim to provide a building for young people in guiding also meeting place for older people for recreation, education activities and pleasure. To provide meeting place for training of guiders.

The purpose of Scouting is to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. Some of the activities included camping, hiking, archery, cooking and many more fun activities.

Women in the community meeting place, Tai-chi, Piliates,Yoga, Party Functions,Whist Drives, Craft Classes, Keep Fit, Book Club, Ballet and Darts.Also our hall is used by the village community.

Our charity is involved in the running of the Greatford Village Hall to provide an indoor space for recreation and learning for local communities.

Monthly lecture on various subjects. Art, Book, Gardening, Needlecraft,Supper and Theatre Groups.

Provides entertainment to patients and staff in Sheffield NHS Trust hospitals.

Making grants to organisations and people under 25 for general educational and sporting purposes in the parishes of Saxton, Sherburn in Elmet and South Milford. ( grants to individuals are not usually made unless there is some element of disability or handicap)

a) To provide education and instruction in all aspects of yoga and meditation for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health to the general public, online and in person.b) Relief of poverty by supporting children in need providing food, accommodation and education, and health care with school and medical facilities.c) Create a community centre to provide instruction as in a) above.

To benefit the community as a whole and in particular younger people by improving conditions of life through offering physical and mental stimulus for all wishing to participate in some or all of the activities thereof in a common effort to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation.

Normally we host professional theatre performances and our year comprises at least one such performance, our annual pantomime and monthly entertainment evenings.We put on two plays and provide a meeting place for local groups.We bring theatre in all its forms to the people of Dolgellau and district.Post Covid we are getting back to some kind of normality.

USE OF LAND

Administration of a building and open spaces in conjunction with the local authority

Brentwood Phab promotes and encourages disabled and non-disabled people to come together on equal terms. Disabled and non-disabled members arrange a wide variety of activities each year. The club meets on alternate Mondays at the Friends Meeting House, Hutton. Members are encouraged to take a full part in the social, recreational, sporting and cultural life of the community.
