Leisure Charities

A grant-making charitable trust for the benefit of residents of Barnes, the objects of which are the relief of poverty, relief for the elderly, the relief of distress and sickness, the provision of facilities for recreation and leisure and education. The Walsingham Lodge Trust, a subsidiary charity, houses older Barnes residents who are in need of sheltered accommodation.

Provision of Gymnastic Facilities

1. Provide park and facilities at Jubilee Gardens for the benefit of the public, in the interest of Social Welfare and with the object of improving the conditions of life of the Public.2. To Educate the Public on the subject of the history of the area.3. Promote the community participation in healthy recreation.

We stage 90 - 100 publicly-accessible events a year of music, dance and drama in our main auditorium. We also run 23 courses in Indian Music, Dance, Languages and Yoga as well as exhibitions. Further details available if required.

Middlesex in the Community is the charitable arm of Middlesex Cricket.It's purpose is to promote cricket in the seventeen London borough that form the cricket county of Middlesex and its surrounding areas.It's objectives are to promote community participation and engagement in cricket by assisting in the provision of facilities and activities promoting recreational sport for local people.

Kangaroos Mid Sussex provides a wide variety of leisure and recreational opportunities for people with learning disabilities and additional needs, based in the Mid Sussex area. The organisation has been in existence since 1994, previously known as Kangaroos charity no 1041988 which changed when the charity became incorporated in 2013.

To advance education and provide facilities for social, recreational and creative leisure time opportunities for the people of Portsmouth, particularly in the area known as Portsea. To this end the charity runs the John Pounds Centre, providing sports and leisure facilities, an IT suite, revitalisation suite, art studio, cafe and creche and organising activities for local residents.
