Leisure Charities

The Trust supports a broad range of charitable causes in and around Berkshire including education, sport, the arts, community, churches and faith groups, social welfare and medical support, agriculture and conservation, and the ArmedForces.

The AFC Fylde Community Foundation, works within the Borough of Fylde and where applicable West Lancashire in order to deliver a range of enriching, life changing and person centred interventions.The Foundation, uses the power of sport in order to reach out to members of the community who face significant disadvantage, using a range of person centred tools to sustain positive change.

The objectives of Highcliffe Community Association CIO are to promote recreation and leisure time activities for the inhabitants of Highcliffe and the surrounding area of East Dorset and The New Forest.

Supporting and funding any school or educational institution of the orthodox Jewish faith including assistance with transportation to and from these educational establishments.Providing facilities for recreation and other leisure time activities for children and young people.Providing grants to people to supplement income and alleviate poverty.

Tennis (juniors, seniors, vets, teams, coaching), Crown Green Bowling, Ballet, Whist, Bridge, Indoor Bowls, Table Tennis, Polling Station.

Norton Priory Museum & Gardens cares for, interprets and develops the historic sites at Norton Priory and Halton Castle, creating accessible learning and leisure environments for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.

Provide facilities for playing football/other sports to encourage more people to play and watch football, to become interested in and support Carlisle United FC by forging closer links between them; to improve the image of the game of football, the atmosphere at matches and the behaviour of both players and spectators; and to promote and facilitate equal opportunities for all within the scheme.

Cleveland Pools Trust was formed to restore and re-open the oldest surviving open air public swimming baths in the UK, open in Bath by 1817. The Trust was awarded Heritage Lottery Funding in December 2018, and hope to be on-site in 2022 with an opening date of Spring 2023. A 150 year lease has being negotiated with the property owners, Bath and North East Somerset Council.

The Ashtead Common Charity was established under the Corporation of London (Open Spaces) Act 1878, which states that the purpose of the charity is the preservation of the common at Ashtead for the recreation and enjoyment of the public.

The Garden Classroom delivers high quality activities in natural environments. Education, recreation and community activities are at the heart of what TGC does. It connects people with nature and with each other, in nature, and cultivates an interest in the natural world. Outdoor learning & recreation in natural environments, countryside projects and camping are at the heart of TGC's service.

We respond to appeals from charities such as hospices, youth clubs, junior football groups, Princes Trust, local school activities, also religious groups and sponser fundraising efforts of various kinds etc.

THE UNION'S OBJECTS ARE THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION OF STUDENTS AT SOUTHAMPTON SOLENT UNIVERSITY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY: PROMOTING THEIR INTERESTS AND WELFARE, PROVIDING REPRESENTATION, ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE, PROVIDING SOCIAL, CULTURAL, SPORTING AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES,PROVIDING FORUMS FOR DISCUSSION AND DEBATE FOR THEIR PERSONAL BENEFIT

The Charity provides financial assistance: to eligible individuals of any age, who would not otherwise have the means to do so, to facilitate their participation in amateur sport, education, environmental protection or improvement and the Arts; by way of funding for full or part time education or tutoring at primary, secondary or tertiary level, or by the provision of other resources or equipment.

The British Forces Foundation provides top quality, morale boosting welfare for the men and women of Britain's Armed Forces, on Operations all over the world, principally through live entertainment -conveying the gratitude of the British Public for the sacrifices they make.

Provide education to both adults and children. Regular motivational talks to adults and children to instill positive morals and attitudes. Holiday fun clubs and arts and crafts clubs have also been provided for young members of the community.The charity has provided sporting events and social meetings for young people in the community.

The Bowes Park Community Association works to promote activities for the benefit of the people who live, work or have an interest in Bowes Park and the surrounding area. It aims to protect and conserve the physical and natural environment of the area; improve facilities for recreation and provide a range of opportunities for people to meet and participate in a range of leisure activities.

The Prison Phoenix Trust CIO responds to and encourages prisoners in the development of their spirituality and sense of personal responsibility through the disciplines of meditation and yoga, working with silence and the breath. Prisoners are supported through teaching, workshops, correspondence, books, CD's and newsletters.

The Principal Objects of the Charity are a) To promote and advance the education of children and young people, b) to provide facilities and programmes for children and young people for their recreation and other leisure-time occupation c) The relief of poverty.

The objects are to promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of Hampshire and the surrounding area the provision of facilities for the recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have a need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic interests or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare

A variety of educational, welfare, health care, social and leisure based activities for adults with learning difficulties,A Day Care Centre for People with Learning, Physical and Sensory Disabilities.Providing skills based training in ICT, Life Skills to People with Disabilities

Together Active works with a network of local agencies who are committed to increasing the number of people taking part in physical activity and sport within Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.
