Leisure Charities

We support the people of Cornwall who are struggling with mental health difficulties. We offer a range of well-being activities to encourage those people with mental health difficulties to become more involved in their local communities. The activities range from yoga, physical activity, community cafes, advice and guidance.

TO MAINTAIN, ENHANCE AND FURTHER DEVELOP A GARDEN INSPIRED BY THE MEMORY OF THE LATE DOROTHY CLIVE TO BE USED FOR THE ENJOYMENT AND BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC. TO PROMOTE AND SUPPORT HORTICULTURAL EDUCATION FOR THE CONTINUING BENEFIT OF BOTH STUDENTS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

The Charity provides the local community of Hungerford and the surrounding area with high-quality fitness facilities and services for healthy recreation and leisure-time occupation in the interests of social welfare at an affordable price. The charity encourages social interaction and activities through its in club cafe, community spaces, exercise classes and swimming pool.

1) Providing education, training, sports and recreational activities to local members of the community.2) Getting members of ethnic communities involved in healthy religious activities such as prayers,discussions, etc.3) Providing services all age groups.4) The Qadria Trust is involved in various fundraising activities for the building of a new Mosque.

The Frome Memorial Theatre facilities, run by volunteers, provide recreation and entertainment. A 540 seat Theatre houses arts and cultural performances. The Frome Assembly rooms are community facilities used for smaller performances and rehearsals, a day centre for the elderly, blood donor unit, council meetings and a facility for private functions. It is the home of the local War Memorial.

To provide and maintain a hall for meetings lectures and classes and other forms of recreation and leisure-time activities with the object of improving the condition of life for the residents of the area of benefit without distinction of political, religious or other opinions.

Carney's Community services the local communities of Wandsworth, Lambeth and Southwark. It aims to reduce offending, re-offending and anti-social behaviour whilst improving social mobility and community cohesion. Its services are targeted at young people who come from disadvantaged backgrounds. The charity aims to achieve its objectives through mentoring and participation in boxing programmes.

Engaging with communities to improve their quality of life, wellbeing and skills through innovative and engaging projects which encourage people to get outdoors, be more active and develop new skills, primarily in the Yorkshire and Humber area, in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, their needs. These activities aid carbon reduction through cycles and horticulture.

Promotion and administration of football in the county of Northumberland in pursuit of advancing amateur sport, health and education.

THE RELIEF OF CHILDREN IN ESSEX BY PROVIDING INFORMATION, SUPERVISED RECREATION, PRE SCHOOL SERVICES, RESPITE AND SUPPORT FOR SUCH CHILDREN AND FOR THE PARENTS AND CARERS OF SUCH CHILDREN, SO THAT THE CONDITIONS OF SUCH CHILDREN MAY BE IMPROVED

HACS are committed to raising awareness, knowledge and understanding of the Autistic Spectrum. We are dedicated to supporting those affected by this complex condition in order to minimise their disability and maximise their ability. We carry out these purposes through our core service offer, namely Family Support; Training; Recreation; Autism Awareness; Employability and Adult Support.

Indian Muslim Welfare Society (IMWS) is based in Batley, West Yorkshire. IMWS ownes a 4 1/2 acre community enterprise centre called AL-HIKMAH CENTRE. IMWS offers education/training opportunities, healthy living initiatives, sport/recreation/childcare/women and youth facilities. The centre is an ideal venue for conferences/weddings and other events and attracts over 200,000 centre users each year.

We are a registered charity whose objectives are to facilitate educational, training and leisure activities for the people of Pelton and surrounding areas. The Association occupies and manages Pelton Community Centre, which incorporates a purpose built Youth facility called Room 14, an outside Play Area, a Community Gym, IT Suite, a 320m2 Main Hall with full size stage and seven other rooms.

To advance the education of persons aged 16 and upwards who are resident in the City of Sheffield and Districts and who have physical and/or learning difficulties, by the provision of sheltered workshops. We also provide for such persons in the interests of Social Welfare Facilities for Recreation or other leisure time occupation with the object of improving their quality of life.

Working with Local disadvantaged families, using Sport as a tool of engagement .Primarily the HOPE Programme( Family based Sessions) and Whole based Mentoring.Also supporting young adults with Learning difficulties around their social lives. Activities take place BANES and Wiltshire.

The Parks Foundation provides and enhances the facilities and equipping of parks and green spaces within Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole for the benefit of the community. The Parks Foundation also aims to advance public education in subjects related to parks and green spaces, and to provide leisure and recreation facilities supporting social welfare.

The charity operates from the Cedarwood Community Hub and across North Tyneside, thus aims to provide facilities and services for the relief of poverty, and the promotion of health and well-being and life-chances, through information, pastoral support, education and training, and leisure-time activities in the interests of social welfare.

To further or benefit the residents of the Blaydon and surrounding wards of Gateshead, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or political, religious or other opinions in the provision of services to advance education and to provide facilities and services for the delivery of social welfare, recreation and leisure time, with the objective of improving the conditions of life for all.

The Loughborough Junction Action Group works to improve the environment of Loughborough Junction area of south London and the lives of the people who live there. The group brings the community together through a variety of activities such as festivals, neighbourhood clean-up days, community gardening and food growing and arts events.

To restore the Wey & Arun Canal, its towpaths, structures and adjacent land and facilitate its use for navigation and recreation; to conserve and improve the natural environment of the Canal and adjacent land; and to provide education and share information about the Canal, its structures and its history

County tennis association - supporting tennis and padel across Kent and some London boroughs

To provide facilities, amenities and funding that improves and promotes the comfort, well being andeducation of military personnel. Also to promote social, sporting, adventure and team activities.
