Leisure Charities

The objects of charity are to help and educate children and young people, through informal education and leisure time activities to develop their physical, mental and spiritual, moral and cultural capabilities, to achieve their full potential, that they may grow up to full maturity, as responsible individuals and members of their communities and society.

The School's aim as an educational charity for children is to benefit the public by providing first class education, independent of the State system. A day school, with boarding facilities, which aims for the highest quality of academic tuition and the development of sporting, artistic and social skills. The School also makes available its facilities to members of the local community.

We organize training and volunteering opportunities for people of all age groups. We have a comprehensive network of employer placements in a range of disciplines including, residential and nursing care homes, schools, nurseries, day care centres, print, horticulture and motor vehicle, amongst others. Our mainstream programmes include Foundation Learning, Apprenticeships and Train to Gain.

Helping members of the public play more sport and enjoy the benefits physical activity generates by giving them access to high quality sports facilities - the National Sports Centres and Rowing Lake makes a direct connection between grassroots and elite sport, supporting both. The Charity also awards grants to organisations that provide sporting opportunities for individuals.

Solden Hill House is a collection of residential care home for adults with learning disabilities in Northamptonshire. Accommodation is in 10 residential units, 4 on the main site near Byfield, 1 in Byfield village, 4 in Brackley and 1 in Duston. Activities include craft workshops, dance, music and art therapy, outings and local activities - riding, sailing, swimming and college courses,

The charity continues to carry out a maintenance programme to preserve for the public benefit the grounds, buildings, furniture and chattels at Weston Park. To the extent that finance is available, it endeavours to improve the facilities available to the public. It also encourages visitors, recreation and the educational use of its facilities. Trading activities are carried out by its subsidiary.

The aims of the charity are reflected in its Mission Statement as being "To enhance the quality of life through education, cultural, social and sports events and instil values that will benefit society".

Garden Organic promotes organic gardening. Our focus is on individual, community and school gardens throughout the UK. We use innovative practices to inspire and encourage people to grow organically. We collaborate with others to achieve the greatest impact.

The relief of the aged and disabled who are resident in and around Minchinhampton by the provsion of facilities for rehabilitation, recreation and leisure time occupation. This includes charity fund raising and the operation of a nursing home know as Horsfall House.

St Joseph's School is an educational charity for children, providing first class education for children aged 4-16. We aim to provide the highest quality of academic tuition and the development of wider sporting, artisitic and social skills in all our pupils.

Greenbank was set up to enhance the opportunities and status of people with disabilities through education, training, employment, and recreation.Greenbank offers its services to the local community and is particularly supportive of disabled people and disadvantaged groups. We provide work related training, a guidance service, employment related projects, sport and recreation and education.

The purpose of the charity is the preservation in perpetuity by the City of London Corporation of the open spaces know as Highgate Wood, Highgate and Queens Park Kilburn for the use by the public for exercise and recreation.

We provide community support to people with, ill mental health and carers to promote well-being for all. The holding of an annual show for the exhibition of livestock, farm & horticultural produce, machinery & other things pertaining to agriculture.The encouragement of rural education & the improvement of agriculture generally through the provision of awards and financial help to students.Raising awareness of agriculture to school children via school visits and the Living Land show.

Windmill Hill City Farm provides a range of educational, recreational and therapeutic services and facilities to the local community including a farm and community gardens, a cafe, a variety of courses, activities and facilities for children and young people (a day-care nursery and playground), older peoples groups, and services for people with mental health issues or learning difficulties.

The land under the jurisdiction of the Conservators is administered by the Conservators with a view to its preservation as an open space for the purposes of exercise and recreation. This is the principal object set out in the Wimbledon and Putney Commons Act 1871. It includes the management of the land and its flora and fauna.

Provides free cricket coaching and match play for state-educated children aged 11-15 across the UK, opportunities through cricket to people living in the London Borough of Westminster, and opportunities through cricket to communities overseas.

To conserve, manage and maintain The Bradgate Park & Swithland Wood Country Park Estate - Leicestershire's Premier Country Park - for the enjoyment, education, recreation and appreciation of visitors.
