THE STRANGERS' REST MISSION IS A CHRISTIAN ORGANISATION AND CHURCH, FOUNDED IN 1877, WHICH SEEKS TO SERVE THE LOCAL MULTI CULTURAL COMMUNITY IN SHADWELL, EAST LONDON. THIS INCLUDES THE HOLDING OF WORSHIP SERVICES, CHILDRENS' AND YOUNG PEOPLES TEACHING AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES. PROVIDING PRACTICAL HELP TO THOSE IN THE COMMUNITY IS AN IMPORTANT FUNCTION OF THE MISSION.

The charity provides a club where visually impaired people may meet socially enjoying weekly activities, entertainment & support specifically for those with sight loss. Regular days out and an annual holiday for members can be enjoyed. The club is open every week for two days & runs entirely on a self funded and voluntary basis.

WE ARE A YOUTH ORGANISATION BASED IN THE MITCHAM AREA OF THE LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON.PART OF THE MARINE SOCIETY AND SEA CADET CORPS. WE PROVIDE TRAINING FOR YOUNG PEOPLE, AGED BETWEEN 10YRS AND 18YRS, ALL BASED ON A NAUTICAL THEME,AS WELL AS OUTDOOR PURSUITS, BTEC, AND DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD SCHEME. THE AIM IS TO ASSIST THE YOUNG PEOPLE IN OUR CARE, TO BECOME RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS OF THE FUTURE.

Provision of community accommodation to promote the moral intellectural spiritual or physical improvement or welfare or the recreation advantage or benefit of the inhabitants of Stisted or surrounding district.

The provision of public open space for purposes of healthful recreation

The Charity was set up to acquire the school playing field in Hurst Avenue, Crouch End, London N6, which had been used by the staff and pupils of St. Aloysius' College since 1912 under a Lease agreement.The Charity supports the College by ensuring that the sports facilities at the playing field are maintained to a high standard and enhanced for the benefit of staff, pupils and community users.

PROVIDE SUITABLE PREMISES FOR THE YOUNG AND OLD FOR THE PURPOSE OF LEISURE, EDUCATIONAL AND ANY OTHER ACTIVITY THAT THE HALL CAN ACCOMODATE.

To relieve persons suffering from mental or physical disabilities and those accompanying them, by the provision of facilities for recreational or other leisure time occupation and in particular, by the provision of pleasure boat trips for such persons

Members from Polesworth and District play darts, dominoes and pool in local leagues.The cricket section runs Under 8 to Under 15 Junior sides and four senior sides,Dothill Rovers and Polesworth Swifts Junior FC's , North Warwicks and Tamworth Ladies FC all use the facilities. Quiz Nights, Barbecues, discos,parties and wedding receptions take place and live football and rugby is screened.

The charity is a village hall, which organises and provides facilities for social, entertainment, sporting and other activities for the local community. The building has a large, recently refurbished, upper hall and a smaller lower room, either or both of which can be booked by local individuals and organisations for meetings, functions, parties, concerts and other events and activities.

To operate a wheelchair basketball club providing disabled and able bodied people to opportunity to play the sport at whatever level they want to, ranging from recreational up to National and International standards. To promote fitness and competitiveness whilst taking part in league matches representing the club. To provide a sociable and friendly atmosphere where all are welcome.

To provide a meeting place for the local community and surrounding areas. Also to provide a site for sport and recreation for all in the local community.

USE OF INVESTMENT INCOME FOR ADVANCEMENT OF GRANTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS IN ACCORDANCE WITH SOCIETY'S OBJECTIVES; IE TO PROMOTE AGRICULTURE AND HORTICULTURE AND ADVANCE EDUCATION IN THOSE AREAS.

To provide a social welfare centre and recreation grounds for the use of its beneficiaries with the object of improving the conditions of life for the benficiaries. This is done via the provision of sporting, recreational and social facilities.

PROVIDE HALLS FOR HIRE, AND PLAYING FIELDS FOR BROMHAM YOUTH FOOTBALL TEAMS, AND BROMHAM FETE ONCE PER YEAR

The property is held upon trust for the purposes of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of King's Sutton and the neighbourhood without distinction of sex or of political, religious or other opinions, and for use for meetings, lectures and classes and other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for these inhabitants.

Social interaction, for frail and or socially isolated older people,providing help and support to vulnerable older adults. A hot two course meal is provided. Activities include , quizzes, bingo, entertainment, speakers, outings, summer garden party & special Christmas lunch. Open three days per week, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 50 weeks of the year.

To provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation

To promote the cultural development of the Hindu community, which includes Shree Girnara Soni Samaj and to maintain and manage such a centre of educational, social welfare, recreational and leisure purposes

To advance the education of students in the county of Hertfordshire including their education through leisure-time activities.

Preservation and restoration of the Paddle Steamer Kingswear Castle to enable as wide a selection of the public as possible to gain experience of sailing in paddle steamers and exploring them, Maintenance of artefacts and documents relating to the Paddle Steamer Kingswear Castle and other paddle steamers.

Provides a hall and recreation ground for the benefit of residents of the village and surrounding area.

Hire hall out to sport, recreation, religious groups, playgroup for use of community on the whole.

To provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants of Frampton Cotterell and District.

Indoor and outdoor activities consistant with the aims and ideals of the Scout Association.The Scout Group is active in Lincoln city and Lincolnshire.
