Leisure Charities

The charity raises money from a number of events. Staff donate a -ú1 per month into the monthly draw for a chance to win a monthly monetary prize. Other events include a dinner dance, golf charity days, business entreprise wards, tombolas, dress down days plus many more.

The chief object of the Trust is the provision of an out-of-town recreational facility by the River Wey, New Haw, Surrey, to help and educate young people through their leisure time activities and particularly canoeing and other river pursuits to develop their physical and mental and spiritual capacities that they may grow to full maturity.

Hire of the hall to local groups ie Friendship Club,Mother and Toddlers Group, Indoor Bowls, Local dance group, Local band practice,Film shows, Fund raising activities ie Dances Quiz nights, and also the rental of two cottages to local residents Local Polling Station

The Charity provides amenities for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Parishes of Everton and Scaftworth only. These comprise a recreation ground, Village Hall and a Children's Playground.Grants are only available (when funds allow) for organisations within the area of benefit and cannot be made to individuals.

To provide facilities/coaching and equipment so physically disabled people can play wheelchair basketball. The ages start from 6 yrs to 50+. Levels are beginners/recreational and competition (national league and international)The club raises awareness of disability through sport in and around the local community.

THE CHARITABLE OBJECTIVES OF LYDIARD MILLICENT PARISH HALL ARE; FOR THE USE OF THE INHABITANTS OF LYDIARD MILLICENT AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD FOR MEETINGS, LECTURES AND CLASSES AND FOR OTHER FORMS OF RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS.

U3A offers a programme of educational and leisure activities for retired people where members contribute their own experience, interests and enthusiasms actively, so that they learn from each other.

Provision and maintenance of a welfare institute and recreation grounds with the object of improving conditions of life for the inhabitants of the County Borough.

The Village Hall is used for dance, Karate, art, quilting and Tai Chi classes. There are recreational groups from Craft for children to Kurling. The Hall, situated on the Village Park, has shower and changing rooms used by the village cricket, rugby and adult and junior football teams.During the year the Hall has been used by for wedding, birthday, anniversary and children's parties

Tir-Y-Cwm Trust owns an isolated cottage in the Brecon Beacons. Moors, hills, forests and streams provide opportunities for personal and social development and training through experience of challenging outdoor activities. Service North Blackpool, Bispham and Thornton-Cleveleys. Centre has two medium sized rooms and a large hall. The rooms by the local community with activities of chess, photography, various martial arts groups, slimming groups, toddlers groups, dance groups, charity groups, yoga groups, a community church. The Centre rents out its rooms; that is the only source of income.

Our mission is to provide and maintain premises to encourage and facilitate a true community spirit. We operate our village hall, which is used by most of the community groups in the Village. These include a Pre-school, a club for older people, Girl Guides, Brownies, Rainbows, several Keep-Fit groups and Dance classes, Vigo Parish Council and the Anglican Church, as well as various other groups.

Provision of a Village Hall used as a meeting place and for social and recreational events

Porthtowan Surf Life Saving Club operates on the north Cornish coast and exists to promote beach safety, train our members to be surf lifeguards, enable participation in surf life saving sport and act as stewards for our beach.

Willen Pavilion is a local community centre and sports pitches, providing facilities for residents and community organisations to use for the purposes of education, sport, recreation and leisure activities.Our objectives include advancing education and providing facilities in the interests of social welfare.
