Leisure Charities

Maintenance and management of Wrington Memorial Hall and the John Locke Buildings for the benefit of residents of Wrington.

The charity provides a venue for social and recreational activities for the well being of the inhabitants of our town.

We are a Scout Group covering all sections; Squirrels Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. Ages extending from Four to eighteen years. We are all volunteers seeking to encourage and support the development of the young people, spiritually, physically, socially and intellectually, through a varied program of indoor and outdoor activities within the ethos of the Scout Association.

Part of the Scout association providing activities such as camping, hill walking, orienteering, map reading, climbing, community responsibility.

The Hall is available for Clubs, Associations, Parish Council, Doctor's surgery, Chiropodist, Nursery and Play School, weekly Lunch Club for the elderly, table Tennis, and for private functions.

THE HALL IS AVAILABLE TO HIRE FOR PRIVATE FUNCTIONS AS WELL AS ALL LOCAL COMMUNITY EVENTS. THE LARGE RECREATION FIELD IS OPEN ACCESS AND SUPPORTS ONE SENIOR FOOTBALL TEAM (IN SUMMER) AND TWO JUNIOR GIRLS FOOTBALL TEAMS (IB WINTER). A FENCED CHILDREN'S PLAY AREA IS AVAILBLE FOR THE YOUNGER AGES RANGE.

The Hall and satellite rooms are available for hire for various, leisure, cultural, educational and religious purposes, together with changing rooms/showers/toilets for outside sports. The hire charges together with other fundraising events maintain the Hall and the onsite sports pitches, open space and childrens play area.

Provide teaching of mother tongue teaching to children whose parent's first language is other than English. Provide religious teaching. Provide recreation, day trips to families with children and to elderly people.

Village Hall used by following groups in village and surrounding area: Monday Club,, W.I.,Flower Club, Monthly Village Market, Table Tennis. Short Mat Bowls,Skittles,BingoVillage Lunch(s),Dog training,, Pilates. Private Functions

To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of St Stephen's and the neighbourhood by associating the local authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation to improve the condition of life for the said inhabitants.

We are based in Aberystwyth.We hold monthly lectures on horticultural topics in autumn and winter. Daytrips to nearby venues with horticultural interest are run during spring and summer. We also organise an annual 3-5 day tour in Britain or abroad. An annual plant sale

CHAOS provides free camping holidays for disadvantaged children who would not otherwise have one. It operates in East London and serves boroughs including Barking & Dagenham, Newham, Redbridge, Waltham Forest, Tower Hamlets, Havering and Hackney. Recommendations for places on CHAOS holidays are usually made through the charity's links with schools, social services and other welfare groups.

The Hall is a hub for the village. Clubs using the facilities include: Indoor Bowls, Badminton, Aerobics and Keep Fit. Regular users are a pre-school club, day centre for elderly, the W.I. dancing classes and dog training. It is also hired for private events. Fund raising events are held to ensure that the facility is maintained for the benefit of the community.

It is specifically for young people (aged up to 21 years) involved in a range of different sports who currently perform, train and compete at a national level and who reside in Torfaen.

Stone YFC is affiliated to the Staffordshire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs, which is a rural youth organisation, for anyone aged between 10 and 28. The Club operates in and around the Stone area and organises their own programme of activities which include sports, talks, discos, meetings, socials, visit and balls - to name just a few.

SOCIAL AND SPORTING ACTIVITIES

The Hose Village Hall Foundation was established in 1969 to provide public meeting, social, leisure and recreational facilities on land in the village of Hose in Leicestershire.

Scouting; Camping, walking, education into outdoor activities, as defined in the scout association programmes.

We currently provide a centre for village activities such as Pilates, Dance Tuition, Yoga, Fitness etc. We also provide a meeting place for use by local organisations, the Village Primary School, by local people for weddings and other family gatherings and for the TMH community cinema. The hall amenity area is also used by various local organisations for village activities throughout each year.

Slimming World Group, Toddlers, Shotokan Karate, Rhythmic Dance, Boogie Bounce, Fitness, Craft, Child Minders, Good Companions, Weight Management and Anything Goes

Hall is used regularly by badminton club, senior citizens, W.I, football club, parish council & church. Handicraft workshops are held also whist drives & domino drives. Hall is available for celebratory functions ie: birthdays, weddings & anniversaries. Also used for fund raising events & by cycling clubs.
