Our activities and aim is to create a place of peace for people within the North East Derbyshire, Amber Valley and Derbyshire Dales area, to access methods to enhance their mental wellness and inner peace through meditation. Accessible and inclusive the aim of teaching modern Buddhist meditation and practice is to help people find methods to alleviate stress and find greater happiness.

To promote the Buddhist faith

The objects of the charity are:1. Encouraging members and others to live ethical lives in accordance with the teachings of the Buddha.2. Supporting ordained members of the Triratna Buddhist Order.3. The trust maintains a monastry with five resident monks (mostly of Burmese origin) who perform religious ceremonies as required. Major Buddhist festivals are celebrated at the Peace Pagoda. Meditation is taught to anyone interested and regular sessions are held for practitioners of varying experience. The Pagoda is open to visitors and groups are welcome.

Seminars for the public included lecture seminars and meditation seminars based on Buddhist teachings.

The objects of the Trust are the promotion and advance of Buddhism in all parts of the world and in any manner that is charitable in law.

To advance the Sakyapa School of Buddhism in general and in particular the spiritual authority of Karma Thinley Rinpoche and Lama Jampa Thaye as masters of the Sakyapa School of Buddhism and heads of the Thinley Rinchen Ling Association of Sakyapa Centres and of any future incarnations of the heads as identified by the present or future head of the Drolma Phodrang of the Sakyapa School of Buddhism

The activities of the trust are to advance the Buddhist faith, in particular the Serene Reflection mediation school of Buddhism (also known as Soto Zen Buddhism).
