Theological training for Church of England ordinands, Lay Readers and others.

TO ADVANCE EDUCATION, LEARNING, RELIGION AND RESEARCH WITHIN THE COLLEGE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PRINCIPLES OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND;TO PROVIDE A COLLEGE FOR MEMBERS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DURHAM WHEREIN THEY MAY WORK FOR DEGREES AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DURHAM (INCLUDING, IN PARTICULAR, ADVANCING THE EDUCATION, SPIRITUAL AND MORAL WELFARE OF STUDENTS ENROLLED AT THE COLLEGE).

Church Urban Fund works to catalyse social action and bring about positive change in lives and communities across England. The Cathedral Church of St Andrew in Wells, known as Wells Cathedral, is foremost a place of worship and the seat of the Bishop of Bath & Wells. It is also a heritage attraction, a concert and exhibition venue, a community space and a centre for learning.

To encourage devotion to St Therese of Lisieux and to spread knowledge of her spirituality of love and trust in God our Father. To raise funds to help the missionary work of the Catholic Church overseas especially projects for the poor, sick, deprived and marginalised.

The prevention or relief of poverty in the UK and Israel by providing grants, items and services to individuals in need/ or charities or other orgnisations working to prevent or relieve poverty.The advancement of Jewish religion mainly, but not exclusively, through operating a synagogue, running regular lectures alongside other community services.

Guardianship and Maintenance of The Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham

We advance the Christian religion and its mission in accordance with the faith and practice of the Church of England through worship, teaching, visitor engagement and support and service to our congregation, local community and the wider world. We care for and conserve the fabric and structure of our Cathedral church building, heritage site, ancillary buildings and wider residential estate.

The advancement of the Jewish faith for the benefit of the public in such ways as are exclusively charitable in English law and in particular but not exclusively by:a) providing or supporting in the provision of places for religious worship and education; andb) providing for the pastoral needs and welfare of the community, particularly members of the Jewish community.

CPAS seeks to advance the Christian gospel by working with lay and ordained leaders in (mainly Anglican) churches, offering: training and conferences, residential holidays for children and young people, appointment of incumbents to Anglican parishes, resources, consultancy and advice, and grants (for those in training for Anglican ordination).

The Principal objectives of The Liberty Church as set out in our memorandum & articles of association is the advancement of the Christian religion by the pronouncement of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is accomplished via our weekly services, concerted evangelism & outreach, bridge events, development programmes, counselling, provision of welfare services, age & stage relevant events.

In 2017, the Society supported programmes in more than 20 countries spread across 14 Anglican provinces through relationship and partnership. Our programmes equip church leaders with skills that enable wider participation in integral mission and development as well as empower churches and ordinary people to take control of their health and communities through vibrant and participatory processes.

Lichfield Cathedral is a historic place of worship. The Cathedral operates 3 services a day Monday - Saturday and 5 services on a Sunday. In addition to the worship, the Cathedral is a visitor attraction, events and exhibition venue, operates educational activity, and is landlord to 70 properties in a private Cathedral Close.

Provision of housing and associated amenities to those involved in worship/preaching and their dependents/relatives.

Objectives a) the provision of maintenance and repair of places of worship, hostel accommodation and facilities for pilgrims; b) the promotion of public worship; c) the advancement of religion and relief of poverty anywhere in the world. The charity operates the Pilgrim Bureau, a hostel for pilgrims, and the Slipper Chapel at the site of the Walsingham Shrine as well as shops and a cafe.
