Religion Charities

Working closely with the Parish Church the Charity provides safe and comfortable Hall, stage and kitchen facilities either freely or with a small charge to any approved club, society or organisation within the Wirral community but in particular to those activities involving the young or teenagers. Usage involving politics or the sale of alcohol is not allowed.

Provision of short-term accommodation to Christian missionaries, typically whilst returning to UK on home leave.

Provision of retreat facilities for the study of Buddhism and related spiritual teachings. Promotion of the teachings of Ven. Namgyal Rinpoche and his lineage teachers. The retreat Centre is Maitreya House situated in rural Herefordshire and accommodates students from the UK and world wide.

The object of the Association is to advance education, particularly religious education, by assisting in the maintenance of the school and providing amenities for and improvements to the school for which the provision is not made out of public funds.

This Charity's main concerns have been for the advancement of education and religion for which purpose it has provided funds to support Abbess Adelicia Charity, The Church Union, Llwyn Onn Burial Ground Trust, Stop Stansted Expansion, and Staploe Education Trust during the 12 months under review

The charity supports mainly Quaker and other church activites in the UK, and occasionaly overseas

The provision of assistance by food, shelter and moral training (in accordance with the evangelical teachings of the Old and New Testaments of the Christian Bible) for widows, deserted wives, orphan girls and other underprivileged peoples in India.

Provides counselling sevices

Cappella Newcastle (founded in 1960 as Cappella Novocastriensis), specialises in singing music for worship and often sings unaccompanied. Cappella sings in churches throughout the North East, as well as giving several major concerts each year. The repertoire is varied and ambitious, ranging from English renaissance composers to contemporary works by Whitacre and Jackson.

Rooms are hired for private functions and for regular group activities e.g chess, keep fit, over 60's, slimming world, spanish, Mah Jong, church groups, astronomy, council meetings.

Promotes the Christian faith primarily through the development of the ministry of music.The Trust makes donations to the ministry of other Christian groups and individuals, both at home and abroad. Facilitates the music ministry of the various Cambrensis groups in arranging various Christian concerts and in the production of Christian music c.d.s

The charity provides subsidised housing for the elderly - the wish of the benefactor Ann Muff.

For the purpose of an open space amenity area and a recreation ground for the use of inhabitants of the Parish of Norton St Philip, Somerset without distinction of political religious or other opinions including use for recreation, sport and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

MAKING GRANTS TO SAWBRIDGEWORTH AND HIGH WYCH PAROCHIAL CHURCH COUNCILS TOWARDS THE COST OF INSURANCE, REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF THE CHURCH AND CHURCHYARDS OF THOSE PARISHES FOR WHICH THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE.

Parent/teacher association-raising funds for St Andrews C of E 1st School.

The object of the Trust is to give grants for the training of candidates for Holy Orders in the Church of England and for foreign mission work.

Enable persons from the Diocese of Winchester to visit the Churches of Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and the DRC for the advancement of religion or other charitable work of those. Assist persons from those Churches with travelling or other expenses to visit the Diocese of Winchester. Provide funds for such other charitable purposes as the Bishop of Winchester may decide.

The promotion of religion in Tanzania

To help with the upkeep of the fabric of St John's church Upper Hopton Mirfield West Yorkshire.

The income from the trust is payable at the discretion of the trustees to The British Home and Hospital For Incurables and the Parochial Church Council of St John The Baptist, Finchingfield, Essex.

Supports two primary schools in Dudley by providing their sites and buildings. Gives grants towards childrens activities at those schools.

A wide range of activities take place including: I.T. Training, Youth Clubs, Private Parties, Elderly Day Centre, Celebration of various festivals, Community meetings, Painting Classes, Knitting workshop, Scouts and Church Groups
