Religion Charities

The principle activities of the charity include: weekend & monthend prayer meetings; Every second Friday night prayers; weekend classes for adults and children; observing Laylatul Qadr night of power prayer; monthly youth activities; yearly Eid festival prayers and celebrations, annual Graduation thanksgiving, family summer outings/trips/funfair and regular visit, advice and advocacy as necessary.

The purpose of the charity is to assist in maintaining, preserving, repairing and restoring St. James' Church, Weybridge, Surrey and its furniture, fittings, ornaments and fabric.

Running the Love Wales Mission Centre including the provision of Christian training, conferences and community events. Broadcasting, recording and live streaming of events and programmes. Meeting the needs of people through practical social action, support and care. Supporting volunteers and voluntary activities aimed at increasing skills and employment.

Organise social and cultural programmes,language and religious classes,children's activities,nursery school and all functions conducive to the advancement of Hindu Faith.

To provide funds in support of the upkeep for St Catherine's Parish Church, Ludham.

The purpose of the charity is to maintain and keep in repair the parish church of St. Mary, Stoke Newington and to pay ?500 each to the parish churches of St. Andrew and St Mathias, Stoke Newington for maintenance and repair.

Mainly making grants to other charities involving health (eg LEPRA), religion (Church of England) or education (CAMFED) but also, sometimes, to individuals working in the same fields or in need of help themselves.

To advance the Christian faith in the UK and such other countries as from time to time may be determined, by training, promoting and financing Christian musicians and artistes in their work of presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music,drama,dance and other visual means and by assisting churches and other Christian organisations and institutions in their use of music and the visual arts.

PROVIDING RELIEF FOR THE SICK POOR RESIDING WITHIN A RADIUS OF 5 MILES OF ST.MARY'S CHURCH TAUNTON

The trust was established to raise funds to help the Church Council preserve, repair and upkeep the fabric of St. Mary's Church, Hitchin, Hertfordshire as well for the provision, restoration and repair of monuments, ornaments, furnishings, organs, windows and all other embellishments and equipment of the Church.

THE COMMUNITY OF CHRIST IS A CHRISTIAN CHURCH WHOSE PURPOSE AND MISSION IS TO PROCLAIM JESUS CHRIST AND PROMOTE COMMUNITIES OF JOY, HOPE, LOVE, AND PEACE. THE CHARITY IS BASED IN THE NUNEATON AREA.

The Charity exists to own the Church Building of St George's Anglican Church in Paris and support the running costs. It also acts as Patron of the Church for the purposes of nominating to the Bishop of the Diocese in Europe the Chaplaincy appoinment.

The Powis Exhibition Fund provides Exhibitions for the study of Theology. Awards are available to ordinands of the Church in Wales who are Welsh speaking.

THE HALL IS A COMMUNITY CENTRE FOR THOSE WHO RESIDE IN THE THREE VILLAGES OF SUTTON,BARLAVINGTON AND BIGNOR. IT IS ALSO AVALIABLE FOR HIRE BY PEOPLE LIVING OUTSIDE THE AREA.THE HALL IS USED BY GROUPS SUCH AS THE W.I.,PARISH CHURCH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH COUNCIL FOR MEETINGS AND THE HALL'S COMMITTEE PUT ON VARIOUS SOCIAL ACTIVITIES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE THREE VILLAGES.

General fund raising, raffles, Special Food Events, BBQ's, Picnics, Flower Club, Gift Fayres, close connection with the nearby Church so hall is used in connection with some events.

To assist the church within the diocese of Peterborough in:- a) The preservation of redundant bells. b) The repair, restoration and augmentation of existing bells. c) The provision of new bells. d) Other work directly associated with (b) and (c).

The charity's object is the advancement of religion, especially Roman Catholic faith. The trustees primarily achieve this through maintenance & support of a community of Nuns resident at Curzon Park. In addition the charity is engaged in prayers, almsgiving & hospitality. Regular donations are made on a monthly basis to other charities. Financial assistance is also given to individuals in need.

Parent-led fundraising activities to raise money to support school expenditure for extra curricular equipment and activities.

Continues to be the advancement of religion which includes the maintenance of the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Leodegarius.

Support of the Ministry of the Parish Church in Whaplode Drove, contributions to the Stipend of the Minister and to the upkeep and maintenance of Church buildings

Supporting individual Quakers in need witnessing to Christian and Quaker testimonies

Scouting - Beavers, Cubs and Scout sections.As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week the 8th Aldershot (Church of Ascension) Scout Group gives young people of Aldershot and the surrounding area the opportunity to enjoy fun an adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed.

We are a small family trust usually meeting in April/October. We only accept postal applications: please do not phone. Do include s.a.e. for response if unsuccessful . We generally give grants to charitable projects within 40 miles of Brailes, S.E.Warwickshire, including church repairs, hospital and hospice projects, village appeals, and "character forming" activities for young people.

We administer, manage and facilitate our hall for community activities and meetings, including a choir and dance classes, garden club, history group, lunch club for the elderly, the Church in Oakridge, W.I. etc. The trust holds fundraising events, Film Nights, and lets the hall for educational, community functions, family parties, children's parties, annual village show, and drama productions.

Organises fundraising and social events to support St Margarets Church of England Primary School.
