Religious activites and community services

For the reparation of St Thomas a Becket church at Cliffe, Lewes and the sustentation of the poor of the parishes of St Thomas-a-Becket, Cliffe and All Saints, St Anne, Trinity in Lewes, and St Michael, Lewes.

Buxton Community Church is committed to the advancement of the Christian faith and the establishment of the kingdom of God. We involve ourselves in community projects, which aim to reach the widest possible spectrum of the community. Our worship facility is used for various community activities.

Almshouse Charity. The provision of accommodation for poor or aged persons of good character and whenever possible are members of the Church of England or the Church of Wales. Residents contribute a weekly maintenance contribution towards the cost of maintaining the properties and essential services, but the weekly amount shall not be such as to cause hardship.

The promotion of the Gospel including the support of existing churches through finance and ministry; the making of material and financial gifts to those in need.

To support the needy of the Parish of Ormesby St. Michael, to maintain the fabric of the Church of Ormesby St. Michael and for general charitable purposes in the Parish.

Promoting the advancement of the religion of the orthodox Jewish faith and education in the said faith.

OVERSEEING CHURCH ACTIVITIES

1.TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN FAITH; 2. TO USE THE TRUST PREMISES FOR CARRYING ON OF ANY RELIGIOUS EDUCATIONAL CHARITABLE MORAL OR PHILANTHROPIC INSTITUTION OR WORK; 3. TO RELIEVE SICKNESS AND FINANCIAL HARDSHIP; 4. TRUSTEES' MUST USE THE INCOME AND MAY USE THE CAPITAL OF THE CHURCH TO PROMOTE ITS OBJECTS.

The education of the public by promotion, support, assistance and improvement of the Royal Navy Submarine Museum, through the activities of a group of Friends.

To pay the income of the trust to the Christian Science Board of Directors of the Mother Church the First Church of Christ Scientist in Boston Massachusetts to be used in Great Britain for the promotion and extension of the religion of Christian Science as taught by Mary Baker Eddy in the Christian Science text book Science and Health with key to the Scriptures.

To raise funds from functions and religious activities to promote and advance Hindu arts and culture through educational classes.

The maintenance of the choir of Canterbury Cathedral and its music including provision of bursaries, scholarships or financial assistance for boys, lay clerks and other members of the Cathedral choir including the organist and assistant organists, through grants made to Dean and Chapter of Canterbury Cathedral.

We are a church affiliated to the Evangelical Fellowship of Congregational Churches,Working in the community of Thornton Heath. With activities such as brownies, a youth work and pastoral care.

Carry out the ministry of an independent Anglican Church including the employment and accommodation of the Minister.

A church sharing the good news of Jesus Christ through meetings and activities. We run a child contact centre for absent fathers to gain access to their children - we run a youth work - children's work - collect food to distribution to the poor in our community - run a language and ministry school - conferences during the year for teaching and mission - church services - relief of the poor.

We provide grant to schools to buy school equipment, books, chairs, tables, computers, science lab equipment etc, school meals for children. We provide medical help to poor, sick people and those who cannot afford treatment. We also help widows and their children. We concentrate more on education which has reflected at their results (100% pass rate).

We have established a Christian Fellowship in a very needy area of Sunderland. We provide basic religious activities and reach out into the community to work amongst children and young people, women, one parent families and any other needs as they arise.

Propagation of the Christian Evangelical faith

Weekly webcasts & lectures on Sufism, Koran classes & book reading, Tamarkoz (Meditation) classes, translation classes, Farsi classes, ceremonies & other events, interfaith activities, musical performances, arts and crafts and tuition on traditional Iranian instruments

The advancement of the Christian faith and the worship of God by preaching, proclamation of the gospel and teaching of Christian doctrine.
