Religion Charities

The furtherance of the general religious and charitable purposes of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Britain in the area of Luton and Leighton Area Meeting and beyond by for example strengthening the life and witness of Quaker Meetings; undertaking Quaker service for the relief of suffering at home and abroad; providing for the pastoral care of members and attenders.

The charity is promoting and protecting the physical and mental health of children and young people disadvantaged or marginalised by the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Swaziland. Relieving poverty, financial hardship and advancing education in local communities, through the construction of orphan homes, the provision of educational facilities, apprenticeship training centres and business development.

The advancement of non-conformist Christian religion; the relief of poverty or hardship of people in need by the provision of funding, facilities and equipment; the advancement of Christian education by the funding and provision of training, scholarships and bursaries; such other charitable purposes as the Trustees in their absolute discretion shall think fit

Supporting circuit churches in the provision of regular public acts of worship, sacred space (buildings) for prayer and contemplation, pastoral work, including visiting the sick and bereaved.The promotion of Christianity through the staging of events and services, sermons, courses and small groups.Supporting other charities in the UK and overseas financially and with prayer.

To promote the Muslim faith by the following means:- 1) Providing and maintaining places of public worship and the due performance of the rites of burial according to the principles of the Muslim faith. 2) Teaching and educating the members of the Muslim community the practices of the Muslim faith.

The advancement of the Christian religion for the public benefit including by the carrying on of the service of God in accordance with the Old and New Testaments of the Holy Bible as followed by those Christians forming part of the world-wide fellowship known as the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church

Promotes the Gospel through church services, group activities and working with the local community.

Hinde Street is a city centre church in the heart of Marylebone, that seeks to be welcoming and hospitable to all. We are a diverse multi-cultural congregation. We hold three Sunday services . We have two residential communities for young adults adjacent to the church. We run a weekly social club for homeless people. Many community groups use our premises.

Economic/Community development/Employment

The advancement of the Christian faith according to the principles of the Baptist denomination.The Church may also advance education and carry out other charitable purposes in the United Kingdom and/or other parts of the world.

Provision of moral support to all military personnel, retired servicemen, families and members of the wider community.Refurbishment.Grants to support Chapel Fund Raising Activities.

The objects of the charity are the running of a church to allow for the propagation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the establishment of a multicultural, international community that is empowered by the Holy Spirit to serve the purposes of God. The charity exists to make life-long disciples of Jesus, to build His church and to send people out for works of service.

To promote in the parish the whole mission of the Church with a focus to worship God, make friends and change the world. This is achieved through working alongside a number of organisations as partners in undertaking mercy, justice and evangelism, practically, financially and/or in encouraging people to volunteer, and receiving support from them to fulfil our calling as a local church.

To promote the Jewish faith by:Providing and maintaining synagogues in or near Southend and Westcliff for the worship of the Jewish faith as an Orthodox Congregation and the due performance of rites of marriage and burials according to the princples of the said Jewish faith.Teaching and educating members and their children in the doctrine and practises of the said Jewish faith.

The object of the CIO is the advancement of the Roman Catholic religion through the religious and other charitable work of the Congregation as the Trustees with the approval of the Regional Superior shall from time to time think fit.

Advance the Christian religion of the Church in Wales for the public benefit. Promote the mission of the Church in Wales in and through the Cathedral by promoting the statement of faith.Resource the Cathedral for future ministry and mission.Achieve and develop lay and ordained vocations that enable and equip ministers and laity in mission, education and evangelism.

The trust runs the Markazul Uloom, an independent education institute for Boys and Girls, which is registered with the Department of Education and Skills (DfES). It combines a college of Higher Islamic Education and a Secondary School. It offers secondary (GCSE) and further education (A levels) from 2014, as well as advanced Islamic Education and caters for the 12 to 23 age group.

To maintain, repair and renew the fabric, fittings and ornaments of the Guild Church of St Andrew Holborn, its churchyard, the Rectory house (Vicarage) and the Court House. To support the Vicar in the performance of his duties.

To advance the Islamic religion for the benefit of the public, in particular but without limitation through the holding of prayer meetings, establishment of religious places, producing and/or distributing literature on the Islamic religion to enlighten others about Islam.
