The Institution is a charitable organisation which promotes and raises public awareness of environmental science by supporting professional scientists and academics.

The principal aim of the institute is to advance the understanding of the ScienceTechnology and Engineering practice of Corrosion Control and to facilitate the exchange of information and ideas thereon for the public benefit.

To establish and maintain for the benefit of the nation a permanent collection of archive material,artefacts and motor vehicles manufactured and sold by Jaguar Land Rover Ltd,Jaguar Cars Ltd and all its predecessor companies which are of actual or potential historic,scientific importance and educational value.To exhibit,demonstrate and allow public access to these vehicles and artefacts.

a) The objects are for the advancement of the science and skill of family therapy and systemic practice.b) For the purposes of clause 3 (a) the term 'systemic practice'science. means an approach based on how wider systems, such as the family and the community, affect personal relationships and the behaviour of the individual; andii. includes the resolution of the relationship disputes.

Support to the provision of the profession & clinical, medical & educational benefits of the practice of Orthoptics. This includes developemnt of professional standards to ensure quality of assessment & treatment & safety to members of the public, research & development of orthoptic techniques. Special interest groups lead on specfic areas of interest with common themes to gather evidence UK wide.

The Charity aims to reduce pain, suffering and premature death caused by heart, lung and cardiovascular disease and disorders. The Charity's beneficiary is National Heart and Lung Institute, Faculty of Medicine, Imperial College London, delivering world leading improvements in clinical care, education and research activities. Special areas of interest include COPD and heart failure.

The advancement of education by promoting, encouraging and contributing to the scientific study and practice of Philately in all its branches for the benefit of the public.

IBRA promotes the value of bees by providing information on bee science and beekeeping worldwide.

The Institute's core activities are:Curriculum DevelopmentSalters' Festivals of Chemistry - Day events held at universities throughout UK and Ireland for 11-13 year olds. Prizes for excellence in science educationSalters' Chemistry Camps - these were run annually for 15 year olds throughout UK. The Camps ceased in July 2015.

The Guild aims to assist generally in the relief of hardship for marine engineers, past and present members of the IMarEST, and their dependents, by making regular grants to supplement very low incomes and by making one-off grants to assist in the purchase of items essential for the recipient's wellbeing, essential home repairs, costs of respite care and with debt relief.

The principal activities of the charity are the registration and genetic evaluation of Charolais cattle registered in the United Kingdom. Research work is carried out with various scientific organisations looking into efficient beef production, and improving the taste and tenderness of beef produced from Charolais cattle.

The Charity's objects are to promote the interests of pony breeding and to encourage the use and protection of ponies. To promote and facilitate the acquisition and distribution of the knowledge of the various arts and sciences connected with the pony and the use and management thereof.

BRACE RAISES FUNDS TO SUPPORT RESEARCH INTO DEMENTIA, PARTICULARLY ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE. IT DOES NOT DISTRIBUTE FUNDS TO INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC.

To promote agriculture, horticulture and forestry and to advance science and research in connection with these subjects for the benefit of the public and to promote the improvement of livestock and the prevention and eradication of disease in animals useful to man in particular in the Isle of Anglesey and other parts of Wales.

BMUS works to advance the science and application of ultrasound in medicine, and to provide education, guidance and information for its members and the public.
