The objectives of the charity, which have been applied during the year, are set out in the Trust Deed. Such objectives require the trustees to apply the property, Honeywood House, as a nursing home for the members of the public requiring long or short term care.

HUC exists to: a) operate almshouses, sheltered housing for those in need within the area of benefit; b) use its 'relief in need' power to alleviate poverty within its area of benefit.

The Charity's objects are the relief of sickness and infirmity through the provision of nursing care and to provide a short stay nursing and convalescent home for the benefit of any disabled or sick person upon terms appropriate to their means and to provide medical and/or nursing care of limited duration for any disabled or sick person.

Services provided include health and social care provision, crisis outreach services for children and young adults, day services for elderly people, the development of independent living skills for young people and various community activities.Respite services and supported living.

The provision of residential care for 37 residents in Halas Homes, the assessment of their changing needs and care as required. Meeting all the requirements of the regulatory body (CSCI) and providing social housing locally for rent by people with a learning disability whose support needs are also provided by Halas Support Service.

We work to improve the lives and life chances of young people in care & care leavers. We inform and support them via our publications and learning & skills workshops; we influence policy & practice by ensuring their views and experiences are heard; we provide support materials for foster carers and others responsible for their welfare & education and we develop innovative projects & best practice.

To relieve stresses experienced by unpaid Carers and adults or children who have care needs as a result of disability, illness or age. We do this through the provision of community-based support and associated activities including day centres and other activities that reduce isolation and build carer-friendly communities. Our principal area of benefit is Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas.

The objects of the Sussex Beacon are to promote the prevention and control of the illness known as HIV/AIDS by public education and research and to relieve personal suffering from this illness and to support the families and friends of these persons. To this end the charity runs a ten bedroom in patient unit offering respite, convalescent and terminal care, and a day care service.

The charity was formed to maintain and manage residential care homes and other forms of accommodation, to provide care, support and advice to enable people with learning disabilities to live in their own homes. The company is also active in all areas surrounding the care and well-being of people with learning disabilities including whenever possible the continued improvement in available services.

We help people who experience enduring mental health difficulties. Accommodation is available for up to 40 people mainly through our registered care home, hostel & independent living flats in Tunbridge Wells.We offer person-centred care and our residents are encouraged through their support workers to take responsibility for their own lives with a view to moving back into the local community.

Carers Choices is a specialist charity supporting unpaid carers and the people they care for. We provide practical and emotional support through our advocacy, groups and services including respite breaks and day centre.

The Society's principal activities are to support people with a visual impairment by providing community care and rehabilitation, residential care and housing, talking newspapers and general advice and guidance.

We operate a range of services supporting older within the Borough including Day care facilities, Independent Living Service, Foot care, Bathing, Befriending, Exercise and Socialise sessions, Wheel chair hire, Information and Advice Service, Handyman and Gardening service. For people with dementia we run a dementia day care service , Cognitive Stimulation clubs and a dementia cafe.

We provide services to adults over the age of 50 years and their family or carers to make informed choices on benefits and enabling services. Our services include information & advice, befriending & carers respite. Practical help in the home is provided if a client is unable to carry out these tasks for themselves due to ill health or age.We work across the whole of Bedfordshire and Luton.

We will be the main contact for Carers' in East Kent, providing emotional support, information advice and guidance, training, advocacy and forums. We will work to promote the needs of Carers to Statutory Agencies, Voluntary Organisations and the wider public.

Our principal activity is the 24 hour provision of residential accommodation and individual care to 37 elderly people, who need varying levels of support to assist them in their day to day activities. We employ professional and skilled carers and management. Residents' individuality and independence is actively promoted. An "open door" policy for residents and their families is in place.
