After Umbrage is a charity dedicated to providing free, short breaks for anyone who has been looking after family members or loved ones with life limiting or terminal illness. The pressure associated with caring can be overwhelming. After Umbrage provides a chance for carers to take a little well-needed (and well-deserved) time for themselves, to relax and unwind in idyllic surroundings.

Financial support to two children's homes in Romania and not-for-profit activities for children in the UK. Facilitation and financial support to humanitarian projects for the relief of poverty in the UK, Africa, Nepal and India.

Charity's areas of interest: in food allergy research, education and disability, residential care and development.Consideration for a broader range of charities in the area of North Bedfordshire and immediate surrounds.Future donations will favour charities already associated with the Charity.Successful applicants will receive a response.Appeals made in writing plus report and accounts.

We provide support, education and social events for Kent County Council registered foster carers and their families. We support by providing a network of emotional support and we advocate for the carers. We provide education by distribution of information and the provision of training to current foster carers and for the recruitment of foster carers. We provide social activities for our members

The object of the charity is the relief of persons in need who are elderly, sick, convalescent, disabled or infirm. The trustees relieve those eligible for assistance by making grants of money to enable or assist them to obtain accommodation, rest or respite which they could not otherwise afford. They also provide grants to carers of such people to enable or to assist them to obtain respite.

The provision of Theological Training and encouraging sister churches in Uganda has continued in the following ways: training of pastors in Uganda, education and sponsorship of pastors and children and travel to Uganda for mutual encouragement. We continue to support several churches and their schools/orphanages in the education of orphans and arrange visits to and from Africa.

We are a nursery offering sessional day care.

Providing almshouse accommodation for the elderly. Acting as landlord for residential property and land.

Provision of day care facilities for 75 elderly clients per week. This includes a hot lunch, recreational activities arranged. Approx 25 volunteers help 3 part time staff in running the centre. Co-operation with Norfolk Social Services, Age Concern etc.

Bluebells Day Centre, based at the Christ Church Centre in Henley on Thames, provides social engagement, activities, games and outings for dementia sufferers and respite for their carers.

Support for mentally ill people and their carers through the provision of a drop in centre, crisis support, advice and information, befriending, and a holiday/respite caravan.

To relieve the needs of adopted and looked after children, in particular, but not exclusively in Yorkshire, through the provision of art programmes allowing them access to various aspects of the arts.

To provide financial support for Liberty Children's Home, Chintalapudi, Andhara Pradesh, India. Also to provide help for impoverished villagers in Chintalapudi.

A day centre, offering social activities, bingo, social afternoons with speakers on topics of interest. We provide tea, coffee etc to members. Opening 10am until 4pm Monday to Friday, and also provide hot lunches on 3 days each week. We continue to use our mini bus for local and occasional trips to the mainland.

Providing grants to Christian organisations in Tanzania for the building and operation of children's homes and schools. The charity provides finance to enable Tanzanian orphans to gain access to: i) Shelter ii) Care iii) Education and medical services iv) Other basic needs, this may include providing support for recreational or vocational activities.

The Objects of the CIO are: To promote and protect the good health of families of young people who have taken their own lives or who are suffering from depression or other mental health related conditions in particular by the provision of, or support for, a short respite break.

The main charity activities of the Grenada Voluntary Hospital committee are donation the three hospitals in Grenada with special attention to the children ward and most recent the female wards. WE SUPPORT ORPHANAGE WORK IN HUNGARY & HAVE GROUPS OF CHILDREN FROM HERE TO STAY, GIVING THEM ENGLISH LESSONS AS PART OF THEIR EDUCATIONAL VISIT. WE RUN AND MANAGE A WAREHOUSE IN HARROGATE AND YORKHIRE, DISTRIBUTING TO PEOPLE IN NEED.

To relieve in the Stamford, Bourne and Deepings areas the stresses experienced by carers within the family or home by offering a respite service through provision of a temporary replacement care facility.
