Financial Support to members on long term sickness

Grant making for the relief and assistance of present or past playing members of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and their dependants who are in necessitous circumstances and in need of charitable relief.

To promote, amongst other things, the advancement of health and the saving of lives. Funds are raised by hosting a range of social and equestrian events. Grants are made to registered charities including Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance Trust, East Sussex Farmers Benevolent Fund and a number of hospices.

Relief of distressed Old Whitgiftians and members of the wider Whitgift School family

As a Masonic Lodge we collect via members and visitors donations from a variety of ways (raffles,alms,box and envelopes) which we then donate to charitable causes either masonic charities and non masonic charities.The masonic hall is let to various masonic groups as well as non masonic groups

For the relief of the poor and needy or for the benefit of other such charitable institutions societies and objects as the members of the Rotary Club of Hoddesdon shall in duly constituted meeting from time to time direct.

Provide assistance by way of information, support and grants to members and former members of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) and the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) and their dependants who are in need. Provide grants to CIOT and ATT students who are unable to afford the fees payable and certain other costs necessary in order to sit the examinations.

The charity funds awards, exhibitions, special prizes bursaries and scholarships for the purpose of education and training.
