The provision, promotion and protection of playing fields in London for sport and physical activity with the aim of creating a happier, healthier and more cohesive London by providing places to play sport forever. The society caters particularly for the young, old, disabled and disadvantaged. It also provides resources and coaching facilities for students at schools, universities and colleges.

We provide a range of support services for women and children who have experienced domestic abuse. This includes emergency refuge accommodation and supported housing at our move-on . We also provide a range of specialist services for children affected by domestic abuse, including after school clubs.

The fund gives support through financial assistance to eligible priests who are members of the fund who are permanently or temporarily incapacitated by old age, infirmity or illness from the performance of their clerical duties. The fund aims to relieve the hardship that might otherwise be experienced.

The principal activities of the charity are; to deliver person-centred care, education and training in life skills, that promote social inclusion and community interaction, whilst providing a safe and comfortable home environment, for adults with learning disabilities aged 18+.

Chance for Childhood is an award-winning charity working in Africa to support the most vulnerable children, often invisible from society, such as street children, disabled children, children affected by conflict and children in conflict with the law. These children are often hidden members of their communities, unable to go to school, excluded from society and living in abject poverty.

We provide support to members and their dependants at times of financial hardship or personal difficulty such as redundancy, bereavement, illness or relationship breakdown. LONDON BLACK WOMEN'S PROJECT (LBWP) PROVIDES THE FOLLOWING SERVICES UNDER A FRAMEWORK TO END VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS: EMERGENCY ACCOMMODATION AND HOUSING SUPPORT SERVICES, COUNSELLING, SERVICE FOR YOUNG WOMEN AND GIRLS INCLUDING SUPPORT GROUPS, AND LEGAL ADVICE AND INFORMATION.IN ADDITION LBWP PROVIDES CAPACITY BUILDING TRAINING TO PROFESSIONALS, RESEARCH AND POLICY DEVELOPMENT.

Founded in 1739 and incorporated by Royal Charter in 1838, the Society grants financial relief to officers and former officers of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, QARNNS, WRNS and their Reserves, and including spouses, former spouses, and families in need. In the last year grants just in excess of £500,000 were made. Additionally many hours are spent signposting, offering advice or a friendly ear.
