The Wimbledon Guild is a dynamic charity with a longstanding heritage that helps local people to lead a better life by tackling poverty, supporting ageing & encouraging mental well-being. It provides support from the heart of the community by reaching out to people in the Merton borough with a range of services e.g. grants, counselling, outreach & activities for older people.

RURAL MEDIA CHARITY COMBINES COMMUNITY AND INFORMAL EDUCATION WITH ARTS AND MEDIA PRODUCTION EXPERTISE TO EMPOWER RURAL COMMUNITIES,PARTICULARLY THOSE MOST DISADVANTAGED. THE RESULTS ARE HIGH-QUALITY PROJECTS AND EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES THAT GIVE RURAL COMMUNITIES A 'VOICE' AND INFORM POLICY DEVELOPMENT.

1:1 or group therapy with qualified therapists using a variety of techniques including art, music or complementary therapies, Mentoring, home visits and parental support around behavior, abuse, poverty and isolation, Support for identified issues such as bereavement and domestic abuse, Partnership work with other services including statutory provision.

To affect positive action by people to achieve a world of safe, sustainable, fair and healthy transport AND To help relieve the suffering of people bereaved or seriously injured in road crashes.

Objectives a) the provision of maintenance and repair of places of worship, hostel accommodation and facilities for pilgrims; b) the promotion of public worship; c) the advancement of religion and relief of poverty anywhere in the world. The charity operates the Pilgrim Bureau, a hostel for pilgrims, and the Slipper Chapel at the site of the Walsingham Shrine as well as shops and a cafe.

BVF and its wholly owned subsidiary Balloon Ventures ltd are dedicated to the relief of poverty and hardship in developing countries initially focusing on Kenya and Uganda. We provide support, training and loan finance to small businesses to help them grow and create good jobs. In Kenya we also support an orphanage in Busia.

The Finchley Charities, established in 1488, administer 172 flats for older persons on three estates in the Finchley area. Applicants should be over 55, in housing need, have limited means and have lived in the London Borough of Barnet for at least five years. Financial assistance may be granted to individuals or organisations in relieving persons in the area of benefit in need or hardship.

Provision of leisure/social activities for children/adults with learning disabilities living within Solihull or the surrounding areas. Provision of respite to the parents/carers of children and adults with learning disabilites receiving our leisure services. Support to other local organisations providing services to children/adults with LD. Provision of volunteering opportunities.

To help relieve poverty by donating money to under privileded brides to help them get married.

The Foundation delivers programmes around both basketball and a wider social agenda in Leicester and Leicestershire. These programmes are delivered in partnership with private, public and third sector. Bradford Cyrenians is a registered charity and a registered social landlord. We offer a range of short/long term accommodation with tenancy related support to vulnerable communities. We also deliver community outreach support. We work with clients presenting with multiple/complex needs such as homelessness, rough sleepers, ex-offenders, domestic abuse victims as well as lone parents.

The Charity is dedicated to improving the quality of life of severely disadvantaged children (5 - 12 Yrs) by offering them respite breaks at the Honeypot House in the New Forest and our new house in County Powys, Wales , plus a wider programme of long term support. This includes regular visits by the Honeypot Outreach team.

Provides training, development, support and employment opportunities for persons with disabilities, as well as those that are disadvantaged, economically inactive or unemployed.

To relieve poverty suffered by children thoughout the world by providing them with food, clothing, shelter and education, including vocational training, so that they can break free from a life of poverty and despair. Educate the public concerning children and adults living in poverty and promote the advancement of religion in the charitable works undertaken.

Group work, outreach, activities and one to one support to vulnerable children and young people living in an area of multiple deprivation; one to one support and programmes to young people at risk of sexual exploitation; on street and intensive ?routes out? support to women engaged in street sex work; outreach, daytime and intensive support services to rough sleepers, and other vulnerable adults.

For the relief of persons who are sick or infirm, aged or poor and for the provision in the interest of health and social welfare of facilities for the recreation and other leisure time occupation of members of the beneficiary class who have need of these facilities by reason of their age, infirmity or disablement or poverty with the object of improving their conditions of life.

The Fund relieves members and former members of the constituent forces, their families and dependants who are in need, hardship or distress

Current activities include: medium level support for homeless 16-25 year olds; specialised support for homeless adults with alcohol and substance issues; training for disadvantaged students; crisis support for refugees; advocacy and advice for informal carers; children and young people's work; and operating community facilities.
