PET REFUGE AND CARE

Prince Philip Centre PHAB (physically disabled/able bodied) Club meets on Friday evenings. Members aged 9-90 enjoy social, educational and recreational activities, live in the Leeds Metropolitan area. Members are welcome with a physical or mild learning disability, or an illness which may be life limiting. The able bodied members join as 'buddies' not carers to share activities and friendship.

Relief in need, poverty, sickness, education. Applicants must reside in the town of Ware and parishes of Wareside & Thundridge.

Relief of poor, needy or distressed persons, regardless of their religious beliefs or practices, who were born or one of whose parents or grandparents were born in Ireland, who are resident in or near the area of Greater London, and their dependants.

To provide sheltered accommodation for residents over 60 years old on limited income under the Almshouse Trust under the lease with Warden Housing (now Home Group) and to benefit poor members of the Salters' Company and poor people in Greater London.

Easington Social Welfare Centre is the main community facility in the former mining settlement of Easington Colliery. As a registered Charity this building is run and managed to meets the needs of local people who have suffered much hardship since the closure of the mines in the 1990's. The centre provides a much needed resource for its community to use.

The charity manages Great Brickhill Parish Hall facilities for the use and benefit of both individual and groups of residents from Great Brickhill and the surrounding area. The Hall is used by a Pre-School Group on a daily basis and by an outreach Post Office once a week. It is used also for a wide variety of sports and social activities on a regular weekly basis.

The Eric W Vincent Trust Fund is a small charity based in and operating in the West Midlands. It makes small grants to local organisations (usually registered charities) and sometimes to disadvantaged individuals in the local area. It does not make grants towards salaries or running costs, or to clear existing debts or outside the local area.

Trustees support education costs for hugely disadvantaged children from the 'slums' of Bangalore, India, the costs of University education for a gifted Ghanaian also a UK volunteer working amongst rural Gipsies in Romania who are rejected by many. Trustees also address other needs, both overseas and in the UK, as and when they present themselves.

The hall is used for community functions, operating as a community hub with use by: Skelton village school, local youth, adult and senior groups, meetings, classes etc, as well as a polling station. Its activities include keep fit, theatre, dances, school, church and social gatherings and suppers and is available for private hire for social events. Open to all ages, abilities and ethnicities.

Income of the charity is used to help through charitable bodies or societies, residents in the Ancient Parish of Louth only who are in need, hardship or distress.

Home visits, liaison with statutory & non-statutory care workers, Lunch Club, Tuesday minibus supermarket trips, Sit & Fit & Scrabble, Knit & Natter, Friendship Groups (coach trips, birthdays) minibus trips, Carers Support group, Co-ordination of minibus use by other local groups, special projects e.g. Christmas party, Warden Service, visits to the elderly and housebound in neighbourly capacity.

The object of the Charity is to make grants to any charity for any charitable purpose, at the Trustees' discretion, but preferably to those recipients likely to further Christianity, support the relief of poverty and assist the aged and infirm.

The Norfolk Constabulary Benevolent Fund was established to assist in needy cases of members, former members, their widows, orphans or dependants. It does this by paying grants and interest free loans where necessary and by the provision of holiday homes for rest and recuperation and for respite or convalescence.

Training without walls, frontiers or fees for leaders mainly in the developing world with project development and micro-enterprise for the poor.

The Charity provides a Club for ex-service men and women and their families, of Cheltenham and district, to relax and enjoy social contact with each other.The Club is in the process of development and aims to provide a first class environment for these activities

Provision of housing for (i) the elderly (ii) the poor who live within the Diocese of Bangor. 4 flats are available.

Provision of hall for use for social activities.

For use of inhabitants of the Parish of Mountfield and surrounding areas as a meeting place for village activities and recreations, such as parish council, social club, horticultural society, blind club, community transport, painting classes, dancing classes, birthday parties, wedding receptions, funeral wakes, fund raising activities.

To honour the charity of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ by works of mercy, spiritual and temporal, the poor, the sick, prisoners, orphans, aged and infirm persons or persons in any other need. This includes the provision of a private registered nursing home.

Provision of both emergency and continuing care to any area,region or country in Central or Eastern Europe for persons,in particular children, who are suffering hardship or distress by reason of political adversity,civil conflict or natural disaster.

Religious services, pastoral and social activities, outreach, support of charitable causes both in and outside the Christadelphian community. Most activities take place in the Oxford area.

Awarding to beneficiaries scholarships,grants or maintenance allowances tenable to any school,university or other place of learning approved by the council.Providing financial assistance,outfits,clothing,tools,instruments or books to help beneficiaries on leaving school,university or any other educational establishment to prepare entering a trade or profession.
