The charity provides a place of recreation, social interaction and education for all the inhabitants within a 10 mile radius of Rothbury and in other parts of Upper Coquetdale.

(1) To promote the efficiency of the Royal Army Veterinary Corps by fostering esprit de corps, comradeship, welfare & preserving traditions. (2) Relief of past & present members of the RAVC & their dependents in need by virtue of financial hardship, sickness or effects of old age by grants, loans, gifts, pensions or otherwise.

We give support to selected projects overseas, especially those in which local people are involved. We help communities in poor countries with funds for small scale projects that can create a long-lasting benefit. Typically these include the provision of medical, educational and community facilities and the promotion of new techniques for irregation, education and organic farming.

To advance the Christian faith in accordance with the doctrinal basis as the Trustees think fit. To relieve people who are in conditions of hardship or who are aged or sick in the local community and else where as the Trustees think fit. To promote and fulfil other such charitable purposes beneficial to the community and elsewhere as the Trustees think fit.

TO MAINTAIN, ADMINISTER PROPERTY AND LAND IN THE OWNERSHIP OF THE CHARITY.THE OBJECT OF THE CHARITY IS TO RELIEVE EITHER GENERALLY OR INDIVIDUALLY PERSONS RESIDENT IN THE PARISH OF BUXTON WITH LAMAS WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS.

The association cater for the needs of voluntary groups in a diverse multicultural society, especially those which are disadvantaged in some way. The majority of user groups are, the under 5's, disabled people, older people, ethnic minorities and womens groups.

Woodgate Valley Urban Farm is a focus for the empowerment & practical involvement of people from the local community in rural activities.. There is an emphasis upon young people, the disadvantaged, and the underprivileged to whom we give general support, life skills training & basic confidence in a non judgemental environment. We are members of Social Farms & Gardens.

The granting of temporary assistance in cases of need to serving or retired subpostmastersand their dependents

The charity provides social activities, help and support for people with learning disabilities in friendly and welcoming club premises in Darlington. It operates 3 evenings per week using volunteers to provide all facilities, in addition to one-off events during the year.

Provides financial assistance to clergy of the Church of England forced to retire early owing to ill-health. Widows, widowers and dependants can also apply for assistance.

To provide financial grants within its objects to other charities and organisations.

Individual grants in cases of financial hardship in Handsworth, Perry Barr, Great Barr and Kingstanding.

The relief of poverty for persons:1. Who are, or have been employed by James Capel & Co., or its sucessor companies in business, or any company associated therewith or who are the wives, widows, husbands, widowers, children, parents or other dependants of any such persons: and2. Are in the opinion of the Trustees necessitous and deserving.

To improve conditions for War Widows and Widowers and to keep them informed of legislation that may affect them. To keep the government informed of their needs and circumstances.

Fitness classes for females, Celebrations of religious and social events, consultations and advice, translation and support, lunch club, community trips to i.e. sea-sides.

Income after charges, costs and expenses to be applied by the trustees for the relief of the poor in the Parish of Leigh, not including payment of rates, subject to the above, the Cy-Pres Scheme authorises additional grants for charitable purposes for the benefit of parishioners at the discretion of the trustees.

The church provides financial support for christian workers, in addition to its own pastor, in both the UK and in a number of overseas countries.Financial and practical support is also allocated to the care of families and children, and to the disadvantaged as well as relief for those affected by disasters.This is done through appropriate agencies.Spiritual help is offered throughout

Relief of distress by means of outright grants, annuities or other periodical payments or loans to Buckinghamshire Freemasons and their dependants.

Raising funds for charitable purposes

Relief of financial hardship and distress for a wide range of staff within the Probation Service and CAFCASS (Family Court Service), by making of grants and support from local representatives of the Fund. The Fund also conducts fund raising to continue the work of the Fund.

Local voluntary charity formed to manage local community centre for and on behalf of the community & providing weekday community recreational clubs and classes and weekend family, wedding celebrations & social events/activities.

To provide residential accommodation for the poor and needy residing in or near Earsdon, Newburn and Shilbottle.
