Grand Union aims to communicate and share the enjoyment of creating and performing music theatre, and to reflect and celebrate today's cross-cultural society. This is achieved by drawing together musicians whose artistic backgrounds embrace an enormous range of cultures and experience to perform and tour new work; run participatory workshops and collaborations in schools and communities.

The main activities of the charity is to run a primary school for the benefit of the Muslim Community in particular and the all the community in general.To develop moral values, community cohesion and citizenship at an early stage.To empower the children religious education and the national curriculam.To develop the interest in physical activities.

To promote and support Scouting provided by the groups within the Aire Valley District. This includes the instruction of young people of all classes in the principles of discipline, loyalty and good citizenship.

Grant making in Yorkshire particularly within a ten mile radius of Harrogate for the care, rehabilitation and education of those with special needs, the protection of the local environment and complimentary medicine. Internationally, grants can be made for training and technology in developing countries, medical assistance, the protection of human rights, ecology and conservation.

To increase public knowledge/understanding of the operations of electoral democracy. Major focus on voting systems, elections, representative institutions. Encouraging research & information dissemination; 'REPRESENTATION Journal of Representative Democracy' quarterly (unattributed peer-reviewed); historic archives & other electoral studies collections; online resources; occasional seminar events.

The charity undertakes, promotes and commissions research into the maintenance and observance of human rights, particularly those set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; and disseminates the results of such research to governments, parliamentarians, inter-governmental organisations, non-governmental organisations and the general public in the United Kingdom.

We work with young people aged 10-18, through skill building and sporting activities we aim to promote self discipline, team work, team responsibilities, respect for others, pride in personal presentation (appearance and behaviour), self-esteem and self respect. We also aim to equip them for adulthood with the values and standards needed for good citizenship.

Ramgarhia Gurdwara Society of Hitchin aims to serve specifically Ramgarhia community and all other Sikhs in the area of Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire in general. It aims to provide services at the Gurdwara in accordance with the Sikhi, preached by Guru Nanak followed the other Gurus. We provide Panjabi, Gurbani and music with the aim to further racial harmony & cohesion in the wider community

The provision of opportunities for children and young people to learn skills, interact with their peers and develop sound citizenship within the wider community, through the Scouting movement.

The Next Century Foundation is a think and do tank and promotes the four freedoms: Freedom from fear, freedom from want, freedom of expression and freedom of religion. The Next Century Foundation also endeavours to promote a more inclusive world.

Promotion of good citizenship,self-discipline, awareness and consideration of others, through a cohort group and a pre-set practical and theoretical group of activities.

TO SUPPORT CHILDREN IN THE AREA OF CITIZENSHIP

The development and instruction of young people in the principles of discipline, loyalty and good citizenship using trained volunteer leaders dedicated to our beaver, cub and scout sections.
