Animals Charities

The principal activity of the Charity is to raise funds, primarily through payroll giving, to help animals in need. The funds are given equally to the four member Charities. These are - Blue Cross, Mayhew Animal Home, SPANA and World Horse Welfare.

We rescue, treat, vaccinate and sterilise street dogs and cats and provide treatment and care to all other ill and injured street and wild animals. At our animal shelter in a rural and poor area of Rajasthan, India, we employ a large number of local Indian staff. We educate children and adults in all aspects of Animal Welfare. We provide free veterinary services to livestock animals.

To relieve the suffering of large breeds of dogs in need of care and attention, and, in particular, to provide and maintain rescue homes or other facilities for the reception, care and treatment of such large dogs.

We rescue and rehabilitate Border Collies. Most of the dogs that come into us have psychological/behavioural issues. This is usually due to being in the wrong homes with the wrong owners to suit their needs. Once the dog has settled in, we then start the rehabilitation process ready for the dog to find its forever home.

Our vision to end the cycle of unplanned births and resulting deaths by neutering all the animals we rescue and save the lives of the abandoned, abused, homeless, neglected, rejected, stray, and surrendered dogs in Hungary and in the UK.We offer lifetime support to all our dogs and their owners.

The charity works to raise funds to support the rescue, rehabilitation, care and treatment of Hungarian Vizslas and related breeds, predominately in Hungary. Part of this is supporting the network of foster homes, predominately in Hungary, during this rehabilitation, care and treatment. We also find adopters and forever homes for those dogs suitable to be rehomed in the UK. We promote and educate.

We provide safe haven, care and rehabilitation for equines in need. Horses and ponies are rehomed on a permanent loan basis when health is restored and their rehabilitation is complete. Those who don't reach a level fitness to be rehomed are cared for by us and are available to the public for sponsorship. We have a strong focus on education and incorporate a team of young people aged from 11.

Staffie and Stray Rescue take in dogs via phone calls/emails from members of the public wishing to surrender their dog. We also work with local authorities and help to find stray dogs a forever home. Recreational and occupational therapy, through contact with and riding horses. Particularly aimed at anyone with any disability.

Avon Cat Rescue has been active for over 50 years. At premises in South Warwickshire, relinquished and stray cats receive sanctuary and care prior to rehoming. The charity does not practice euthanasia except on medical grounds and with veterinary advice, therefore non-rehomable cats may become permanent residents. The charity operates locally and, to a lesser degree, in adjacent counties.

Bliss Cavalier Rescue is a breed specific dog rescue for Cavalier King Charles Spaniels in England. We additionally offer support and education to owners of the breed. Our core activities are directed toward improving the lives of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels by putting the health and welfare of the dogs in front of everything else.

To rescue, rehabilitate and re-home in appropriate supported homes, ex-racing greyhounds who come into our care. All homings are vetted and supported for the life of the dog.
