The Guide Association is the leading charity for girls and young women in the UK.We provide space for girls and young women to be themselves, have fun, build brilliant friendships and gain valuable life skills.We build girls' confidence and raise their aspirations. We give them the chance to discover their full potential and encourage them to be a powerful force for good.

Village Hall activities for the community include Brownies & Guides, Dancing, Keep Fit, Choir Group, Women's Club, Carpet Bowls, Coffee Mornings and occasional social events. The hall is also hired out for parties etc.

Sparsholt Memorial Hall is a village hall. The charity runs and maintains the hall for use by villager organisations, Brownie Groups, the village school, villagers who hire the hall and others who may also hire the hall for meetings and functions. The hall is also used for village events.

Provides a facility to hire for various groups including Boys Brigade, Gardeners, WI, Rainbows, Brownies, birthday parties and other various functions.also provides 3 rooms daily each morning for Harpole Pre-School group.

Sandford Parish Hall is a large hall situated in Mid Devon. The Hall is used regularly by Playgroup, Toddlers, WI, Good Companions and Brownies. Other users are Creedy Dramatic Society, Sandford School, Sandford Scout Organisation. There are also vaious classes held on a weekly basis in the Hall, these include dancing and yoga classes.

The guiding programme is underlined by the following five essentials, namely 1. Guides of all ages work together in small groups. 2. They are encouraged to govern themselves and make their own decisions. 3. They enjoy a balanced, varied & challenging programme designed to help them achieve their potential . 4. They care for the individual.5 We have a commitment to a common standard

THE INSTRUCTION OF GIRLS OF ALL CLASSES IN THE PRINCIPLE OF DISCIPLINE, LOYALTY AND GOOD CITIZENSHIP

The Sway Youth Centre is provided for a pre school nursery, brownies and guides, pathfinders- church youth people group, a drop in centre for after school groups, Self defense group for young people. The centre is available for hire by young families for parties or special events.

Riverside Community Centre hosts various user groups, including Parkstone Kids Club - childcare before & after school, Parkstone Pre-school - pre-school childcare. Yoga, Riverside Brownies, Riverside Rainbows, Riverside Guides, St John's Newland Church, J Club - all community groups. ABC - parent & babies/toddler group. Ahmadiyya Muslim Association.

PROVIDING A WARM AND FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT FOR LOCAL GROUPS AND CHARITIES I.E. WOMENS INSTITUTES, SCOUTS, BEAVERS, GUIDES. BROWNIES, RAINBOWS, ST JOHN AMBULANCE AND THE PARISH CHURCH OF ST MARY THE VIRGIN

The community centre is hired out - private parties and social activities, including exercise classes, tai chi groups, slimming world, brownies, archery. slow theatre, line dancing, keep fit, art groups, meeting place for over 60's and is also used as a polling station during elections.

We are part of Girlguiding and follow their programme of activities this include many Indoor and outdoor activities including climbing, canoeing, hiking and camping, Skill builder activities, badge work, community service, homemaking and general games and activities.

Providing and maintaining a venue suitable for all members of the Crossways community and its environs. Groups currently using the building: Dorset Search & Rescue, Youth Club, Brownies, family Martial Arts Training, U3A ,Slimming World,Crossways W.I. and our monthly Pop Up Community cafe and table sale. Village and family celebrations use the building and field.

Financial support to Esher Rangers, Brownies. Property management of Girl guiding hall

Support over 50's and disabled group, local brownies, first steps, NHS blood donor sessions, keep fit and dancing classes. Wild life trust, town twinning meetings and surgeries for Amber Valley Borough Council.

Maintain the Community Centre for the provision of accommodation for local groups, such as Playgroups, Brownies, Guides, Local residents groups.

Scouts, cub and brownies

The provision of a varied and structured programme of activities, delivered by trained volunteer leaders, to enable girls and young women to reach their full potential. To provide a well maintained and comfortable building for scouts, cubs, beavers, guides, brownies and rainbows to meet in. To provide a resource for the community to use to carry out group activities for the benefit of the whole community.

The 3rd Waltham Abbey Scout Group consist of one explorer unit (controlled by the district), two scout troops, two scout parks and two beaver colonies. The hall is also hired out to 1 girl guide section, 3 brownies sections and 1 rainbow section.

Adult Education and Leisure groups, Keep fit, Zumba, Latin American Line Dance, Welsh Dance, Women's Institute, Gardening Societies, Karate, Brownies, Ballet, Coychurch Youth Club, Children's Parties, Concerts, Charity Events.Surgery for Welsh Assembly MPs and use as a Polling Station.

The Gatty Hall functions as the centre of village life for the community of Ecclesfield and the surrounding area. Weekly activities on offer are badminton, ballroom dancing, hand bell ringers, Brownies, Guides, playgroup, toddler & mums group, craft workshop, mothers union, ladies group, line dancing, dancing class, local M.P. monthly surgery and ad hoc bookings.
